I'm in, very rusty so I don't expect anything but fun out of this experience.

I'm in. I've been playing quite a bit on the iPhone recently and would love to take on a few of my peak oil buds and arch-enemies.

As you know Narz, *I* Myself don't play chess, but I will mention this to "Mr. Blu" and see if he wants to join in....he's been keen on doing some tourney stuff, as he used to do in his younger years.

I'll let ya know.

the way i like to play chess is non-competitively. just move pieces until the game is over, and not worry about who wins.

I really suck

Played a 10 minute live game, made some strategiclly strong moves and few really stupid ones. Took the rook instead of a bishop which would have led to a much better field position.

But, where I screwed up, I had him within 5 moves of checkmate and ran out of time.

Though, this site rocks. This is the best webware I have ever seen. The chess mentor rocks. I might just sign up for a premium account so I can learn how to play.

If you play me, the horsey is the piece you want to get rid of right away. Those two are not worth anything.

Two more spots open!

Ah, screw it, I'll raise the limit from 18 to 24 since there's so much interest. :)

I'm going to delay starting it (even when full) for two more days for errorist's sake (since he said he'd be gone 'till Jan 3rd).

I registered. I suck at chess though, so don't pick on me too bad when you beat me. OK?
