$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('lardlad', 'S')on, I could buy 20 SUVs and not notice it. I simply think they are the equivalent of environmental vandalism, and they are part of what we need to get rid of if we are to face peak oil successfully, whenever it arrives.
And we need to start facing it soon.
First, I think your full of shit becuase most well to do people I know dont have irrational unfounded hatred of inanimate objects.
I could be wrong though, it certainly wouldnt be the first time.
More to the point, I agree with you. But I prefer to let the market lead. Lets get down to brass tacks here my friend.
WE ARE FUCKED.
Banning SUV's is a drop of a drop in the bucket. Its too late. This 18 wheeler is on the highway to hell at breakneck speed and the brakes are blown out of it. At this point our only hope is to let the market lead us.
When gas becomes more expensive, people will stop driving SUV's. When gas becomes really expensive, people will move to alternative modes of transportation.
But to enact laws to tell people what to and not to do, I dont hold these as principles good men should hold to.
