$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Willy', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('drew', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Specop_007', 'I') wont hide where I stand on the issue

What laws?-be specific

immigration, and employment laws, the ones about not entering the country illegally and not having a job without a SSN along with driving without a liscence or insurance etc.. i can look up exact wordings of the laws but i highly doubt you are really concerned, you just want to paint specop as a bigot.

Peanuts compared to the Enron's of america and their abuses of the system.
I would like to see how many illegals versus how many americans get caught without license and insurance.
Most of the illegals I have seen and I have seen alot - cannot afford to drive and live in 3 bedroom townhouses with 12-20 other illegals.
They use mass transit when available.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Willy', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('drew', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Specop_007', '
')
undermining your society-how?

flooding social services. you can't build schools and hospitals and police stations etc that a larger society needs overnight, and neither can you train the people to man them fast enough, a slow population growth can be handled,even encouraged, a fast one causes over crowding, poor service and people slipping through the cracks. and again there are groups that advocate armed insurrection against the us to "reclaim the southwest". that seems a bit anti american to me, how about you?

In a narrow sense walmart is anti american - when is the last time you were there?

"Flooding"???? Oh you mean like the majority of the fathers of welfare families flooding prison populations over minor drug offenses while the family sinks further into poverty flooding? ;-)

Or perhaps you speak of what appears to be the immenent doom of the social security, medicare or medicaid programs which needed no help from high immigration levels to fall on its own flooding.....

A government that historically never invested these monies but instead used them as a slush fund for special interests....

Anti american?
puh....and what a way to end your statement but with a ridiculous question.
I wish someone would define what AMERICAN means really.
Rape - murder - steal.
That sounds about right or do you prefer to ignore the historical accounts?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Willy', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('drew', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Specop_007', '
')
risk to security-how? (remember, the only thing even closely similar to a mexican and an al queda arab is skin colour)

if anybody can sneak in than so can murders rapists theives drug dealers etc, then there is the fact that many drive without proper training and insurance, driving in mexico and here ARE not the same. add to that the fact that poor people with no legal standing have little to fear from breaking more laws, they are already screwed if they get caught. it's not the best recipe for a safe society

hahahahah more areas where america needs no help in - murder - rape - theft.......Murder capitol of the world is what we are ;-)

Safety hmmmmmm.....
"Those who would give up essential liberty for temporary safety deserve neither" Ben Franklin as condensed by NEOPO ;-)

Driving - as if insurance companies do not screw people..........
As if........... I hit you and kill you .....your wife collects $$$ makes everything all better.............. yet you are still dead....

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Willy', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('drew', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Specop_007', '
')risk to well being-how?
look above- if my security and society are being injured so am i as a citizen.

Heh heh Then I guess it is safe to say that you are pretty upset with a lot of things besides just this immigration issue ;-)

hey smallpoxgirl-

where are your anscestors from that they have committed no crimes against thier fellow man? the tribes of NA fought killed and stole each others land all the time. attempting to cloud a very real problem in the present with crimes of our anscestors in the past is nothing more than cop out for logic and reason in arguements.

the real concern is not if stoping immigrants is a good or a moral deed, letting poor people in is most likely a good thing for those people, but it is bad for americans as a whole. that is what our government is supposed to worry about. it is supposed to make sure that we as americans get what is best for america.

Wow. That was a pretty sad straw man.

Never said anyone was without blemish. What I said was that people who today pitch a fit about illegal immigration, do so because they don't want to share the benefits they get because of their ancestor's illegal immigration. Rather like bitching when your accomplice steals your half of the robbery loot. Like Specop said, "We stole it fair and square, so everyone else bug off."

Well here at work I can tell you they are getting mortgages left and right in California and Arizona. Maybe they are legal but they sure don't speak english. Most of them do not have traditional credit (carnotes, visa cards, traditonal lines of credit from a bank). So the credit they provide is a landlord rating from a Juan Gomez, a line of credit from tire store or a local grocery. No kidding, it's easer than you think to get a six figure mortgage if you are a minority. I'm not trying to be a bigot ,I just report what I see every day. Mortgage companies and Fannie Mae love the good press. Folks better be concerned because the average mortgage in California is 350K. Lots of Shaky loans issued to folks who do not speak english. I sure hope the housing bubble doesn't burst. I mean if they default or the authorities try to enforce a broken law(assault, rape, burglary) do you know how hard it is to track down a Juan Gomez in California or Texas?

In fact I'll wage half of slumlords in Southern California are Mexican American. They in turn, stuff 12 tenants to rental property and charge them $500 a month to cover the note and live off the gravy. Thus slaves become slave masters.
If you give a man a fish you will have kept him from hunger for a day. If you teach a man to fish he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Who are "these people"? If you mean rednecks, then yes, we have quite a lot of them here in Montana.

I also am not sure what you mean by "your land". My ancestry isn't that different from Specop's. My wetback ancestors were on the boat from Scotland and Ireland just a couple of generations ago. I like living here. I don't want to go back to Europe. I am profoundly thankful to the Kootnia for not trying to run me off their land. Seeing as my squatter ancestors turned up here, raped, murdered, pillaged, and still were greeted with amazing hospitality, I figure that if the rightful owners aren't complaining about Hispanic immigrants, then it sure isn't my place to.

Has the invasion (that's what it is) affected the area yet? Have you or the Kootnia been required to learn Spanish to go about your daily lives?

I'm not trying to be dick, just asking.

Smallpoxgirl, you rock like Zeppelin! Bang on girl. I'm with you 100%, 'cept my wetback ancestors are (most recently) from Portugal. We're all guests in this land, and we've been pretty crappy guests at that.

Spec, if that's your definition of a liberal then I'll be happy to accept the label. Compared with some of the other issues we're facing at this moment in history, illegal immigration is about as important as a fart in the wind. Something that needs addressing I suppose, sure, but nothing to get our panties in a twist over.

I live in San Diego, by the way. :roll:

Not at all. No, I think we should keep doing what we're doing, but probably beef up the border patrol a bit so that the patrol officers will be safer and a bit more effective. All that will take is a slightly larger budget. Problem?

Wrong, punish the people that hire illegals. Jail time.

But it will never happen, the corps have the power now.

You're misrepresenting what I said. Another sign of the conservative. :roll:
