Isn't that what internal affairs are for?
And shouldn't a solution first be attempted by bringing in police from outside to investigate?
Wouldn't it even be preferable to bring in foreign investigators to look at the situation and recommend a course of action?
Serisously, what does the army or national guard know (even if they were permitted to) about upholding the law. They are good at protecting some property, setting up roadblocks and shooting down suspects fleeing the scene.
And doesn't this make you think about Detention Centers Bill HR645 which allows for detention camps for civilians on army bases.
http://www.scribd.com/doc/11738579/Dete ... Bill-HR645No matter how I turn and twist it the downfall of USA has been in the making for decades and the "elected" leaders have been instrumental in making this happen.
I can only see breakout from the union by the individual states as the potentially peaceful solution.
Every other path involves violence, rebellions or armed revolution. The last one being unlikely as there is no backbone in the majority or they have been lulled to sleep by, what is now clearly evident, biased media who have no interest in informing people about news that matter.
On a slightly different subject. I just watched Gods and Generals on DVD the other night and found it a truly inspirational piece. It gives more of a confederate view of the civila war. And I know you shouldn't take movies too seriously but if even half of it is true to history and character it shows how people back then had spine that was built on moral values and faith. So a really nice pep flick but not of the action kind.
