The wake up will happen around here when we have to pay $4 a gallon for heating oil. We need around 300 gallons, so we'll have to pony up $1200, but there are people who have to buy 1000 gallons who will have to take out a second mortgage just to heat their house next year.
This is going to be a touchy summer with gas prices up and people not being able to use their gas toys, but I'm worried about next winter more.

Very real possibility of costing $4-5,000 dollars to heat your house. Blood in the streets, at least until it congeals in the cold.
