Cognitive dissonance, the mental discomfort experienced when holding conflicting beliefs or values. It can lead to a variety of negative consequences, including heightened anxiety, stress, and regret. As well as decreased self-esteem and self-worth.

Individuals may also try to reduce the discomfort by rationalizing their actions, ignoring or denying the conflict, or seeking out information that confirms their existing beliefs, which can lead to impaired decision-making and even destructive behaviors.

Shit! That describes half the posters on this forum

Let me guess....you had to ask AI was the definition was and then you wrote it down? Quick question, and answer without using your fingers to count...how many misspelled words before you used AI to fix it for you?

Can't even get the ratio right for the Australians on the forum. More like 1/4 of active posters. Stupid Aussies can't even get a fraction right.

What kind of people would vote in a fat, sexually degenerate, narcissist with delusions of grandeur?
-- Fat, sexually degenerate narcissists with delusions of grandeur naturally.

If she wasn't my daughter I'd be dating her he once said. And dating, means screwing. What kind of a man thinks of his daughter in that light? And is arrogant enough to blandly state it in an interview!
Sick people, sick leaders.

The US is in such bad shape, they were hoping Trump would fix things. The left lunatics have ran the country for 16 of the last 20 years. But it’s too far gone to save.

You didn't vote for your King. You inherited him in your system where you and your entire country HAVE NO SAY IN THE MATTER.

Grow some balls already. Does cowardice come from your prisoner DNA, or the locals they inbred with?

It is in deplorable shape, but I don't necessarily blame the leadership. People vote those leaders in, time and time again, so they obviously want what they offer. Lies and perversions, free money. And they don't seem to mind being ripped off either? Oh they complain, like about the cost of sickcare, but they keep lining up at the supermarket with trolleys full of toxic non-foods. Keep sitting on their fat arses watching dribble on TV as they munch away at bowls of corn sugar.

The majority are in a dream and they just refuse to wake up? It's not much better in Australia but at least we still have our wealth fortunately. I'm going downstairs to have a workout on the Gym, the rest of the world can grow old and weak if they choose.
