North Sea oil production is struggling, according to independent energy research and intelligence business Rystad Energy.
The company’s North Sea oil output forecast – which looks at crude and lease condensate production, including onshore, for Norway, the United Kingdom, Denmark and the Netherlands – projects that 185,000 barrels per day (bpd) of outages will be seen in May.
Rystad Energy’s forecast also shows that 462,000 bpd of outages will be seen in June and reveals that further outages are set for July, August and September.
Production is set to hit 2.526 million bpd in May, 2.275 million bpd in June, 2.660 million bpd in July, 2.457 million bpd in August and 2.453 million bpd in September, according to the forecast.
“Currently we see unplanned outages at Oseberg and Flotta with combined impact of 160,000 bpd,” Rystad Energy said in a company statement posted on its website.
“Furthermore, the North Sea is heading into maintenance season. We forecast North Sea oil production to drop next month to the lowest level since August 2014 as Ekofisk goes into maintenance,” Rystad Energy added.
“Turnaround activity at Ekofisk feeding fields is the primary driver accounting for 230,000 bpd of the total outage for June 2019,” the company continued.
Back in March, Rystad Energy revealed that oil production in the North Sea would drop by 330,000 bpd month-on-month in June as Ekofisk closed for planned work.
Ekofisk was Norway’s first producing field, according to operator ConocoPhillips Norway. The field was discovered in 1969 and production started in 1971.
Rystad Energy is headquartered in Oslo, Norway. The company also has locations in a number of other cities around the world.

Sissyfuss, MOB cannot comprehend what he reads anyway. Yes, to put a sharp point on the subject, the Russian winter stopped the German invasion cold. Pun intended. But the Russians then pushed back, all the way to Berlin. They prevented Germany from seizing the oil fields necessary for the Germans to continue to pursue the war. Meanwhile, the West was playing around in Europe and not winning much, if anything. Game over.
Americans can only access real history on the internet but few do. Ignorance is bliss, and most Americans are in ignorance heaven. Dumbed down, drugged up and brainwashed.

“the Russian winter stopped the German invasion cold. ”
Everybody knows that aspect of the war. What is totally unrecognized is the big picture of the war. The Germans never had a chance to begin with. They were with the back against the wall since 1934. Not a single German army border crossing since 1939 was motivated by the wish for territorial conquest, not one. And that is easy to verify from the testimony from the single guy, who had all the motive to frame the Germans and of all the people in the world had the best access to German sources of information… the chieftain of the Nuremberg show trial:
https://documents1940.wordpress.com/2017/09/26/justice-jackson-has-to-admit/
And before scumbag empire dave begins to whine again over “wordpress shit”, this is a direct pointer to the official Nuremberg online documentation.
Jackson had to admit to his partners in crime that he could not find a single piece of evidence that the Germans were plotting for territorial conquest. All he DID find was a state of German panick about the realization that they were surrounded and strangled by the entire world, for a second time btw,
The US has been terrorizing the world since 1933, but now for the first time the world is in a position to finally lay the mad dog to rest and take it apart. And it could even be that DJT intentionally is setting up the US for a war, the US must lose, because he fully understands the situation.

The British empire, the greatest in world history, was demolished by a traitor within, Winston Churchill, who operated in the interest of international jewry:
https://documents1940.wordpress.com/2017/09/25/chamberlain-and-the-forrestal-diaries/
(Again, this is not “wordpress shit”, but the Forrestal diaries, as published by Time-Life. FM Forrestal was “suicided” in hospital)
Now similar globalist traitors are going to wreck the country itself:
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7065315/New-Brexiteer-PM-wants-Britain-EU-No-Deal-stopped-Parliament.html
Scotland will secede and dirt-poor Northern Ireland will flee into the Irish Republic, that is per capita almost twice as rich.
And then there is England. It harbors both the richest region in Europe (London), as well as the five poorest. England is Europe’s last class society and this helps explaining the bitter standoff between the old-school economic Marxist Corbyn and the Tories.
The usual (((moneymen))) could buy Blair and Brown into neocon globalism, further depriving the British commoner, while handing over large parts of London to Islam. But it appears that this won’t work with anti-semite Corbyn. He has my sympathy and I hope he constitutes the next government, after the almost inevitable hard Brexit that is coming now. Expect real drama and Marxist Verelendung coming to the British isles, the one Corbyn is anticipating:

Steve Bannon has been spending the last year in Europe building up contacts for the biggest shift in the EUSSR since its creation. Expect it to change totally. German nation interest will either take the second stage or else there will be no Europe anymore. The Brexit party, should it win big could on its own be a driving force that could fix Europe. Sadly those bridges were burned by Brussels socialists who have benefited from sub 40% voter turnout in the EU for 20 years now. They never once considered that was a problem because they didn’t think they needed a real mandate. Guess they miscalculated, a Faragian style EUSSR would have seen the real issue. EUSSR Parliament whos parties barely command 10-15% of the votes of electorates is just as bad as dictatorships who are ‘elected’ with 99% of votes counted

As I said yesterday, I didn’t want to vote for populist Baudet as long as he favoured Nexit. My fears were unfounded. Baudet became the biggest during the provincial elections last month and he got my vote. But not yesterday. And I wasn’t the only one.
Although the official results can only be published in 4 days time, thanks to a loop hole in Dutch electoral law, that says that every commoner is allowed to participate in the counting process and have knowledge of the result, we now know the result anyway.
The #1 social media platform in Holland, the populist geenstijl.nl (“no style”), organized a probe counting in a few hundred polling stations and the result is a smashing success for pro-EU parties. Thanks to his pro-Nexit stance, Baudet got 12%, rather than the 22% he got last month. The PVV of neocon Geert Wilders was wiped out, thank God.
There is not a snowball’s chance in hell we are going to follow the British suicidal example and their attempt to become Europe’s first post-industrial society.
Baudet, for the moment, neglected the advice of Putin advisor Dugin, to stay in the EU (Russia wants to join too). Baudet will change his mind.

It is not too early to draw conclusions. This is it. Voter turnout during the last provincial elections, when Baudet became the biggest, was 80%. Yesterday it was merely 40%. Additionally the reason why the otherwise marginalised Dutch Labour (PvdA, ca 5%) won the elections was because the despicable diversity clown and US cock sucker Timmermans is the candidate of the European Left to succeed Juncker. Not that he has much chance.
https://nos.nl/artikel/2286046-pvda-winst-komt-door-het-frans-timmermans-effect.html
“’PvdA-winst komt door het Frans Timmermans-effect’”
The Dutch empire media lefties have it right: the gains of Dutch Labour are solely the result of the Frans Timmermans effect, the figurehead of the dying European left.
This is unique for the Netherlands and the low turnout as well as the foolish Nexit stance of Baudet, meanwhile abandoned by all other European populists, did the rest. I have no doubt that at the next general elections, with voter turnout of 80%, Baudet will be the biggest again, provided he drops Nexit. The coming years he will have sufficient contact with European populists to change his mind.

Why Timmermans is the hero of the US, because of this despicable behavior, falsely blaming Russia for shooting down MH17 in the UN:
https://youtu.be/QcGCBHNcKyI
Baudet rightly questioned the results of the cover up of this obvious false flag. Holland 123 ton of its own gold repatriated, shortly after the incident, no doubt as the reward for the Dutch in playing along with the cover up.
https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-11-21/gold-repatriation-stunner-dutch-central-bank-secretly-withdrew-122-tons-gold-new-yor
https://www.globalresearch.ca/122-tons-of-gold-secretly-repatriated-to-the-netherlands/5416127
The real culprit for the downing of MH17 was the Ukrainian fighter jet pilot Vladimir Volosjin, who actedon orders of the Ukrainian-jewish oligarch Kolomoiski, the current handler of the newly elected jewish president of the Ukraine.
Unsurprisingly, Voloshin was recently suicided.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/5845748/pilot-blamed-by-russia-mh17-flight-shot-dead-murder-investigation/
Here Kolomoisky basically admitting he was involved in the downing of MH17, claims it was a “mistake”, a lie of course, since it is impossible for a fighter jet not to recognize a passenger jet:

It was an intentional false flag to demonize Russia.

The upcoming recapture of Gibraltar, by the Spanish, quietly backed by the EU, Russia and China.
In 1704 Gibraltar, not very far away from my current Andalusian hotel, a Dutch-Anglo naval “task force” captured the extremely strategic situated rock, controlling access to the Meditarrenean.
At the time Holland and England were on friendly terms, after the Dutch had conquered Britain and Northern Island in 1690-1693, concluding 37 years of warfare between the protestant Dutch on the one hand and the Catholic British, French and Germans on the other. 1690 was “peak Dutch” and these folks have a big mouth ever since:

For an idea how spectacular Dutch-English 17th century naval warfare looked like, with an entire sea on fire, see:
https://youtu.be/x1KMYX9xbCY
(1:33-9:07)
At 5:27 admiral Tromp (motto: “keep Holland great”.lol), played by Dutch actor and Hollywood celebrity Rutger Hauer says: “let’s ram these Goddamn English back to their island”, a reasonable undertaking since the Ter Heijde battleground was 10 km from city center of The Hague. At 6:50 however he gets killed by an English sniper, paving the way for the greatest military leader the Netherlands ever had, admiral Michiel de Ruyter. Admiral de Ruyter should have served as an example to Napoleon and Hitler how you ram the English into submission, overrun their country and implement regime change and install a friendly government, all the while setting Holland up as the true Mother of Anglosphere and serve as an example for America in the 19th century, until the kikes ruined that XXL Holland.

I am always amused by Cloggie’s outlandish prognostications. Here is another vision of the future. Gibraltar is effectively a constituent nation within the United Kingdom, albeit a small one. It’s people voted to remain within the UK by a 90+% margin – a very big majority to overcome.
Any EU / Spanish attempt to make life difficult for these people will only strengthen their resolve against you. It will encourage them to identify you as ‘the enemy’. At present, UK position on the EU is divided because people seem to view the situation as being the UK leaving a trading block. If the EU becomes a defacto enemy, it would have the wonderful effect of uniting UK public opinion against you and strengthening the hand of the globalists within the UK. So the question is, do you want to hand these people victory on a plate and turn Britain into a thorn that will forever be in your side? That happened a number of times in the past and it has never ended well for mainland Europeans.

“From this point of view, the European Union is a cartel of governments eager to resuscitate imperial ambitions foreign to the conditions of the rise of our civilization. Its authoritarian projects of political, regulatory and fiscal standardization are betrayals of the spirit of innovation that requires the highest degree of decentralization and possible institutional competition. Finally, it is the intellectuals Nathan Rosenberg and Luther Earle Birdzell who best summarize the historical factors behind the blossoming of the West. In a book published in 1986, they write that the prosperity of a civilization implies the expansion of an open trade on a politically fragmented territory. Applied to our region, this prescription leads us to prefer the dream of a Europe with a hundred thousand Liechtensteins to the dystopia of a continent-spanning empire.”

“Chinese Diplomat Warns UK: Ditch Huawei At Your Own Peril”
https://tinyurl.com/y25kzslb zero hedge
“Even with the 90 day delay, the Trump administration’s decision to blacklist Huawei and other foreign telecoms suspected of threatening national security has already prompted a handful of suppliers to cut ties with the Chinese telecoms giant, for fear that continuing to do business with Huawei would subject them to retaliation from the US. Three British companies, mobile network operators EE and Vodafone, as well as semiconductor maker ARM, have already said they would end their business relationships with Huawei (EE and Vodafone said they wouldn’t offer Huawei phones on its 5G network, and ARM told employees to tear up all contracts with Huawei). With all of the pressure on Huawei, Beijing is again resorting to threats to try and preserve Huawei’s business. The UK reviews its telecoms policy to determine whether Huawei will be allowed to supply ‘non-core’ 5G components, like antenna masts, Beijing would like UK bureaucrats to know that there will be consequences if they shun Huawei. Top Chinese diplomat Chen Wen, the Charge D’affairs in London, told the BBC that China would scale back its investments in the UK if Huawei is excluded from its 5G network, according to the BBC. Though she kept her comments vague, Wen told the BBC that the backlash would be “quite substantial.” This at a time when Brexit-related uncertainty is already complicating decisions relating to capex and FDI.”
“As convincing as Beijing’s “no spying” pledge might sound, the notion that Huawei won’t spy on its customers isn’t just specious – it’s demonstrably false. Who can forget the suspicious ‘back doors’ discovered in Huawei’s networking equipment, or the suspicious ‘back doors’ discovered in its consumer-tech products. With this in mind, it looks like the UK is facing a choice: Either grant Beijing ingress to its communications networks, or risk losing that China money. Whatever they decide, the world will be watching closely to see if this is the start of a trend of European countries finally coming around to Washington’s line on Huawei.”

I am all for this trade war if it can avoid going hot. We need to economically regionalize in an attempt to ride a declining globalism down without a cascading failure of this process. It is plain to see globalism has reached it apex and is now in decline. It has many amazing economic achievements but it has also been corrupted and now destructive. The planet has been raped and cultures homogenized. We need a reorientation of economies in the world around Chinese (Asian), EU, and the Anglo American with the third world gravitating to what suits them the best. Russia will be its own bridge between all three. The third world will be where a new economic comparative advantage is realized by these competing economic regions. This is needed to increase the resilience of international networks and systems as the breakdown of globalism proceeds. It is clear global debt has reached its limits. It is clear the dollar and its Eurodollar spawn are reaching their limits. The dollar will lose its global currency position in this process and this is also good. A global world of three competing currencies might improve resilience in the face of decline.
This regionalization does not mean the complete end of globalism but the adaptation of it with the new realities of a multipolar world. So this trade war in which China and the US vie for global dominance will only bifurcate the global economy into competing regions. I see this serving the purpose of this new regionalism. Neither the US nor China will be the dominant economic power. Europe will continue its experiment and likely be a bridge between the two economic regions. The Asian economic miracle will die with these changes. The high growth is over especially if globalism begins its decline. The BRI which is little more than exporting of mal-investment by a dying Chinese export economy will wither on the vine with some results but mostly failures.
This is what I see in the future. Some of this I am projecting, I realize but I want to see a decentralization. A decentralization that is managed not a cascading economic decline. The global economy is losing its resilience and the competitive realities of the new world order of a multipolar world are taking its effects. Globalism is now a danger because of pockets of risk imbedded in the vast system of trade and finance. A competitive trade war will allow nations through populism and nationalism to do the tough reorientation of regional economies by forced effort. Agreements will never get this done because of the vested interests in globalism but a cold war will. This is what cold wars do they draw battle lines. This could be a good thing if we can avoid a hot war in the process. No nation can afford a war at this juncture of globalism’s decline. It is unclear this type of change will avoid war but if it does we might find more time to adapt and mitigate decline. The era of modern man is over but this does not mean a catastrophic collapse.

Yet the accident at Chernobyl was far more dangerous, as damage to the reactor core unspooled very rapidly and violently, said Edwin Lyman, a senior scientist and acting director for the Union of Concerned Scientists Nuclear Safety Project. “As a result, more fission products were released from the single Chernobyl core,” Lyman told Live Science. “At Fukushima the cores overheated and melted but did not experience violent dispersal, so a much smaller amount of plutonium was released.” In both accidents, radioactive iodine-131 posed the most immediate threat, but with a half-life of eight days, meaning half of the radioactive material decayed within that time, its effects soon dissipated. In both meltdowns, the long-term hazards arose primarily from strontium-90 and cesium-137, radioactive isotopes with half-lives of 30 years. And Chernobyl released far more cesium-137 than Fukushima did, according to Lyman. “About 25 petabecquerels (PBq) of cesium-137 was released to the environment from the three damaged Fukushima reactors, compared to an estimate of 85 PBq for Chernobyl,” he said (PBq is a unit for measuring radioactivity that shows the decay of nuclei per second). What’s more, Chernobyl’s raging inferno created a towering plume of radioactivity that dispersed more widely than the radioactivity released by Fukushima, Lyman added.

“Microsoft Cuts Ties With Huawei”

“Though Microsoft said yesterday that it hadn’t made a decision, the SCMP reported Friday morning that Microsoft had decided to stop accepting new orders from Huawei for operating systems and other content-related services: Windows operating systems for laptops and other content-related services. The US software giant has already removed Huawei laptops from its online stores. Like with Google’s Android ban, Windows will continue to work on existing Huawei PCs.”
“As more companies suspend their relationship with Huawei, the company will soon face its first test of global capital markets’ confidence in the Chinese telecoms giant, the company is said to be preparing to seek its first syndicated loan since tensions with Washington boiled over, per BBG. The latest fundraising attempt comes about four months after Huawei obtained a 14 billion yuan loan from five Chinese banks. Back in September, the company raised $1.5 billion in an offshore loan from a group of ten mostly international banks. Whether the company borrows in dollars or HKD, it’s borrowing costs are likely to be significantly higher than in the not-too-distant past. Since Washington put Huawei on a trade blacklist, the company’s bonds have been hammered lower, sending its borrowing costs higher.”

Back on topic (sort of). This thread is about North Sea oil depletion. It is high time to develop practical real world solutions for reducing oil consumption. Here is one.
Amidst the idealism and misplaced faith in battery electric vehicles and the continuing dire financial results from Tesla; two extremely practical options for reducing vehicle fuel consumption and emissions remain ignored and under-exploited: (1) The compressed air hybrid; (2) the hydraulic hybrid. Both of these are variations on the same idea: storing or recovering vehicle energy within a compressed gas. As a means of regenerative braking, it is 80% efficient, versus 55% for batteries.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydraulic_hybrid_vehicle
For trucks under urban conditions, the pure hydraulic hybrid approach allows vehicle fuel consumption to be cut by 40%. For smaller vehicles, fuel economy was improved by 20-30% (i.e. a 25% reduction in fuel consumption).
https://archive.epa.gov/otaq/technology/web/html/demonstration-vehicles.html
These improvements are very significant because the integration of hydraulic accumulators into drive trains adds very little to the capital cost of vehicles and they do not wear out in the way that batteries do. Lower fuel consumption allows consumers to absorb higher fuel costs and therefore reduces the cost burden of synthetic fuels.
The compressed air hybrid offers better fuel savings, but is probably deserved of separate discussion.

Talking about the North Sea area, pm May left the building in tears. She was a good woman, whose career, not to mention her country, were ruined by continuous obstruction by the ERG mob in her own party:

Not sure why she had to bring up jews though in an otherwise dignified goodbye:
Sir Nicholas organised the rescue of 669 Jewish children from Nazi-occupied Czechoslovakia on the eve of the Second World War before helping them to begin new lives in Britain.
…read: help ruining the country by turning it in a third world hell hole, just to show their gratitude, like “lord” Peter Mandelsohn:

The worst thing that ever happened to Britain was that it was NOT invaded by Dolfie. The later had to call off Operation Sea Lion, when German intelligence detected that the Soviets were amassing troops at the easter border of the Reich, against the spirit of the non-agression agreement, that was never anything but a trap.
At least we Hollander were lucky enough to get a thorough makeover, Anglosphere in contrast can now be written off.

“A no deal Brexit is the perfect pretext for a no deal Scexit (from Westminster). Welcome back to Europe, mrs Sturgeon.
Let’s not forget that Scotland was acquired by the English, at the same time as the capture of Gibraltar. Scotland is perhaps the oldest independent country in Europe, since the days Roman consul Antius had to pack his bags.”
Nonsense. Your knowledge of British history leaves a great deal to be desired. The English certainly never acquired or conquered Scotland. The act of union was the formalisation of an arrangement that had been established with the ascension of James 1st (a Scottish king) to the throne of England. At this point, the union of the crowns was established (by the Scottish, not the English) who inherited control of England’s Navy and overseas assets.
Formalising the arrangement under law by merging parliaments made sense from both sides, as it eliminated the strategic threat of Scottish invasion of Northern England and it allowed Scotland access to English resources, sea lanes and military capabilities. Political and economic union set the scene for the industrial revolution, as it allowed both nations to pool resources in the development of overseas assets and economic integration provided the wealth needed to build the roads, canals (and later railways) that made the transport of new goods possible. It is also of note that growth of Edinburgh and Glasgow were largely facilitated by the free movement of food from English ports.
Invasion from Scotland had been a constant threat to Northern England since the early middle ages. If you visit the border towns of Northern England you will notice a lot of fortifications that must have cost a fortune at the time. The problem is that compared to England, Scotland does not have much in the way of arable land. This made it relatively poor and hunger and starvation were a constant threat prior to the industrial revolution. This often led to border raids and attempts by Scottish kings, to annex parts of England.
There was some opposition to the act of union on both sides of the border. For the English, it meant inheriting responsibility for an impoverished and lightly populated land. From England’s point of view, the union removed the threat of Scottish invasion at the expense of sharing prestige and resources. It also allowed the Scottish borders to be brought under rule of law – these areas were full of bandits and rogue clans known as Reavers that would attack farms, raping and stealing. The borders were beset by blood feuds and were a generally murderous place.
The Scottish separatist movement was non-existent until relatively recently. For most of the past 300 years, the British people were top dogs and there was little appetite for leaving the greatest show on Earth. The present Scottish separatist movement can largely be laid at the feet of the Blair government, who created a division that reinforced all of the historic ethnic divisions of the country. Not a wise thing to do. There is also the problem that after 300 years of industrial revolution, the population of Scotland has lagged behind that of England (largely because people from Scotland migrated to England), which inevitably puts them in the position of being a junior partner. There are all sorts of insecurities amongst poorly educated Scots that the English are in some way imperial masters and the Scottish are oppressed imperial slaves. This is absurd to anyone who really understands the situation; England subsidises Scotland. The present Scottish National Party is essentially a neo-Marxist movement that feeds upon these insecurities, but is very cagey about anything that might suggest an independent racial identity for Scotland (they are actually pro-immigration). I wonder how they will feel if Cloggie gets his way and Europe is controlled by right-wing populists?

“Retaliation Is Imminent”: Here Are China’s “Nuclear” Trade War Options”
https://tinyurl.com/yxluqkgo zero hedge
“Jim Reid said that “Falling asset prices might be the only way for markets to get the [trade war] resolution they desperately want.” Of course, for now stocks refuse to sell off, paradoxically on the expectation that once they do, Trump will fold and stocks will soar (yet without stocks first tumbling, Trump will never fold). As such, Barclays writes this morning that “the latest developments suggest a Standoff scenario is materializing and the Escalation scenario is becoming increasingly likely.” China’s thinking is further encapsulated by quotes from Hu Xijin, editor-in-chief of China’s Global Times, whose tweets underscore Beijing’s preparation for a protracted trade war and selecting retaliation approaches.”
“And while Beijing has yet to announce specific countermeasures beyond raising tariffs on $60BN of US imports, the increasingly angry rhetoric hints hinted that some non-tariff retaliation could be imposed, which according to Barclays includes the following: Export restrictions: Limiting exports to the US of some critical resources such as rare earths…Restrictions on sales of US goods and services: Restricting sales of certain US products and services in China, based on national security concerns or for regulatory or legal violations etc. The restrictions could apply to US smartphones, servers, autos, pharmaceuticals, or distribution of Hollywood movies and series, as long as the action would not incur significant domestic economic and employment costs…Financial tools such as devaluing CNY and selling off US treasuries. We think in the event of further escalation of the tariff war, China would allow measured weakness in CNY, although we think the Chinese authorities would be unlikely to tolerate a very sharp and sudden depreciation. It is interesting to note that while Reuters reported that “China’s central bank will not let yuan decline past 7 to the dollar”… Other non-tariff restrictions targeting US companies trading with or operating in China…Imposing restrictions on travel to the US. The US services trade surplus (mainly in the travel, intellectual property categories) with China was USD40bn in 2018. Delaying or cancelling official and civil exchanges and visits between the two countries, likely through tightening approvals and visa requirements etc.”
