North Sea Oil Production Struggling

Production

North Sea oil production is struggling, according to independent energy research and intelligence business Rystad Energy.

The company’s North Sea oil output forecast – which looks at crude and lease condensate production, including onshore, for Norway, the United Kingdom, Denmark and the Netherlands – projects that 185,000 barrels per day (bpd) of outages will be seen in May.

Rystad Energy’s forecast also shows that 462,000 bpd of outages will be seen in June and reveals that further outages are set for July, August and September.

Production is set to hit 2.526 million bpd in May, 2.275 million bpd in June, 2.660 million bpd in July, 2.457 million bpd in August and 2.453 million bpd in September, according to the forecast.

“Currently we see unplanned outages at Oseberg and Flotta with combined impact of 160,000 bpd,” Rystad Energy said in a company statement posted on its website.

“Furthermore, the North Sea is heading into maintenance season. We forecast North Sea oil production to drop next month to the lowest level since August 2014 as Ekofisk goes into maintenance,” Rystad Energy added.

“Turnaround activity at Ekofisk feeding fields is the primary driver accounting for 230,000 bpd of the total outage for June 2019,” the company continued.

Back in March, Rystad Energy revealed that oil production in the North Sea would drop by 330,000 bpd month-on-month in June as Ekofisk closed for planned work.

Ekofisk was Norway’s first producing field, according to operator ConocoPhillips Norway. The field was discovered in 1969 and production started in 1971.

Rystad Energy is headquartered in Oslo, Norway. The company also has locations in a number of other cities around the world.

BTW: Has anyone else noticed the wall Trump is building? No, not the Mexican one, the isolation one. As the days pass, I see more and more bricks being added as more and more countries move away from America’s influence. Is that a good thing for Americans? I know it is a good thing for the rest of the world, but….? Just askin’. GO TRUMP!

I propose you check into the nearest free mental health care clinic exceptionalturd, if there such a thing in your wretched backwater. Try that for, say, 10 or 20 years, and see how it works out.

“Ok Davy, I understand that we disagree on many things, and you will never consider anything but your own Amerocentric viewpoint. Too bad.”

Mak, that probably won’t work because I will do the same and before you know it we are back to the old days. If you look at the referenced part of your comment you are already accusing me of being “Amerocentric”. Where did I accuse you of anything?

I am proposing this not for you or me but for the others who are looking for a board with less routine arguments. I am asking you to ignore my comments. If my comment is in a general thread then you can make your point but don’t use my name and don’t reference my words. That is my deal otherwise we are back to square one.

BTW, I am dialing up my doom meter for a couple of reasons so I feel this is a time to put our petty arguments aside to try to determine any dangerous situations ahead for all of us. It will help the conversation if there is less noise and that is what arguments degenerate to.

Davy, by that you mean, agree with you on all points, which is not likely to happen. The “dangerous situations” seem to be constant as the empire tries to stop and reverse its decline. The “dangerous situations” are self-imposed by the US and will increase as the death throes of the empire get worse. I’m prepped fpr the worse. I hope you are.

We can disagree, but not resort to name calling and putdowns. I only ask for reasonable references to your viewpoint.

“’The sofa’s up against the door’: Tory MPs count the hours until May quits as she ‘barricades’ herself in Downing Street after Leadsom resigns on eve of today’s Euro elections that will see the party wiped out”

The DailyMail has supported May and her soft-Brexit campaign through thick and thin, but if they title with giant letters with “it’s over mrs May” than you know it IS over.

Not that this is going to solve anything, au contraire as they say in Denmark. The lone voice of reason is disappearing, the tone will get rawer and frustration levels increase. Wait until we have miles and miles of traffic jams of trucks on the M2 and M20 with cargo intended for Europe, stuck before Dover, that now needs to be cleared by customs and hefty WTO tariffs to be paid.

The British are longing for restoration of 19th century glory, but all they will achieve is 19th century income levels, corresponding geopolitical stature, not so much. The demise of British Steel is only a small sign of things to come.

Shortly DJT will arrive in the British Isles, throwing more oil on the fire, backing Farage, encouraging hard Brexit, as he smells the chance to rake in Britain as a colonial resource on the cheap and turn it into a dollar country. On a micro-level you could observe similar behavior here of empire dave vs Antius. With friends like dave, who needs enemies?

As a right-winger I used to flirt with referendums and more direct democracy, but after the devastation in Britain, I’ve become a skeptic.

    Brexit Party 37%
    Ukip 3%

    Remain:

    LibDems 19%
    Greens 12%
    Change UK 4%

    That’s 40% leave against 35% remain.

Tories and Labour are divided to the core and completely marginalized.

This is essentially a second Brexit referendum with the same outcome: a slight preference for leave.

Farage’s stature however will become stratospheric. UK’s politician #1, by far, well, until the real Brexit results come in.

“Attorney General Barr Puts Former Intel Bosses Clapper, Brennan On Notice”
    https://tinyurl.com/y5lao99r the hill

“Things seem to be moving quickly now. It has been a remarkable few weeks in American history. Momentum is building toward uncovering the distasteful possibility that the targeting of a U.S. presidential campaign was actually a political operation, fostered at the highest levels of government, masquerading as an FBI counterintelligence investigation. Attorney General William Barr has signaled that his interest in examining the origins of the investigation into the Trump campaign extends beyond whether the FBI operated “by the book,” as former FBI Director James Comey asserts. Barr also wants to understand the role that the larger intelligence community, or IC, may have played in all of this.”

“Through Durham, Barr can start dusting for fingerprints across the government, not just the FBI. The squirming has begun. In just the past week, we’ve seen a rush to comment by the former directors of national intelligence and the CIA. The FBI’s former general counsel has chimed in publicly and, of course, fired FBI Director Comey has been on a media offensive, practicing character assassination as a strategy with Barr among those in his crosshairs.”

“Each also is dealing with an elephant that’s not just in the room but sitting uncomfortably in their laps. Christopher Steele’s dossier is clearly a Russian intelligence operation (“active measure” in IC-speak) that took advantage of a cooperative outreach by the Hillary Clinton campaign. If these IC leaders didn’t recognize it as such, then it truly was amateur hour at the top. The more troubling scenario would be if each made a conscious decision to ignore the obvious Russian interference attempt and, instead, wring political value out of the dossier. This is a key area that deserves Durham’s attention. After all, this Russian active measures operation was used to further an FBI counterintelligence investigation against American citizens, and even secure a court order to electronically intercept former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.”

“Barr also wants to understand the role of CIA confidential sources, or “assets,” that were cozied up next to Page and another former Trump campaign adviser, George Papadopoulos. Both were announced as Trump campaign members the same week in March 2016, and almost immediately began attracting attention from an interesting cast of characters associated with the agency long before the FBI counterintelligence investigation was launched that July. The CIA has its own set of restrictions about the use of assets against Americans, and this deserves Durham’s focus as well. Former CIA Director John Brennan has commented on his belief in the sufficiency of FBI predication to investigate the Trump campaign but has said little about the CIA’s role in all of this. Durham will want to make sure that CIA asset activity didn’t somehow help create that predication.”

This will only add to the chaos as moderate mrs May genuingly tried to accomplish a rational soft landing of the Brexit fiasco/drama.

This morning in the hotel lobby I tried to score an excursion to Cordoba and approached a gentleman dressed in a shirt of the same large European travel organisation I am here with. I already knew he was English, not Dutch, and since I’m ALWAYS in for a little provocation, my opening sentence was: “I’m not sure if you are the proper person to address, since you look very British…”… to which he replied in a near thundering tone: “I AM VERY BRITISH”.lol, leaving no doubt as to where he stands in the Brexit drama.

Let’s hope for him he still has his job next year, don’t hold your breath though, if a divorce bill blockade becomes reality.

    The New Europe

Today EU elections in the Netherlands, yesterday electoral debate between the probable #1 the populist Baudey against normal rightwing pm Rutte:

    https://youtu.be/8zpnum-p42Q

Unlike all the other populists in Europe, newcomer Baudet is way too pro-Anglo and pro-Nexit for me to give him my vote. Although he is not anti-Russian, the idea to re-atomize Europe only plays into the hands of the British.

Baudet is the typical representative of Holland proper, that is the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-The Hague area, oriented towards Britain, where I am a “reserve Kraut” from the East of the Netherlands.

I don’t really mind that said area will be under water in a century or so. Problem solved, the future is PBM.

    https://www.nrc.nl/nieuws/2019/03/24/poetin-adviseur-aleksandr-doegin-baudet-is-ticket-voor-de-toekomst-a3954364

Here is the full, very lively and humurous debate between Baudet and pm Rutte, yesterday-night:

    https://youtu.be/x7k2H9Pk_LI

Summary: they are both Atlanticists, both do NOT want a European army.

Baudet: Russia is not a threat and a potential future ally. MH17 probably shot down by the Ukraine. Holland better off outside the EU. Men are more ambitious than women. Borders need to be closed.

Rutte: Russia is a threat, Holland is best off in the EU. Brexit is a desaster for Britain.

Clogg: Russia is not a threat (500 vs 140 million, gdp 22T vs 4T, EU defense spending twice Russia). Russia wants to belong to Europe. MH17 was shot down by Ukrainian pilot Vladislav Voloshin, who was recently suicided. Downing on orders of oligarch Kolomoisky, who admitted that he ordered it:

    https://youtu.be/NrfKZUttEwE

Holland is best off within Europe that should be a super alliance of European nations, with common market, currency, military, space agency, energy policy and hard super power.

“Russia wants to belong to Europe.”

Russia want to belong to Russia or should I say Putin. Russia is doing fine without European shackles. Russia already controls Europe potentially with energy and a huge competent military. Europe spends money on militaries with no readiness or force projection to speak of. Russia plays the China card, Europe card, and third world card. It might someday have a US card. Europe is a nice place for the Russian rich to visit also. No need to be part of a EU talking committee. Russia gets results just fine without Europe.

Aleksandr Doegin heard the news about Thierry Baudet’s monster victory in the Provincial State elections with “great joy and great enthusiasm,” says the ultra-conservative Russian thinker on the phone in Moscow. Doegin (57) speaks lyrically about the leader of the Forum for Democracy. “One of the most intellectual thinkers I have ever met. A completely original and independent man. A rising star. ”

Baudet and Doegin have known each other since last year. On 7 April the Russian acted during a philosophical congress in the Westerkerk in Amsterdam. Fifteen minutes before time, Thierry Baudet slipped in. After the meeting, Baudet addressed the Russian.

The next day the two men met again, and now they talked for hours: about the EU, but also about the history of the Reformation and the influence of Celtic-Roman and Germanic culture. Baudet was well acquainted with Doegin’s ideas about the imminent end of liberalism, and the “fourth political theory” – post-communism ideology, fascism and liberalism.

The Russian thinker was immediately charmed by the 36-year-old member of parliament. “He has a fantastic style, very classic, very attractive. I love the dandyism of Thierry Baudet. ”

    Popular with European populists

Since the annexation of Crimea and the confrontation between Russia and the West, the ultra-reactive ideas of Aleksandr Geljevich have created Doegin school. Western media call him “Putin’s adviser.” Doegin is popular among populists in Europe for his ruthless criticism of liberal society, with her “overshooted” focus on equal rights, gender politics and individual self-development.

According to Doegin, liberalism is at the edge of the abyss – an idea that is similar to Baudet’s picture of the decline of Western civilization. “We have long and substantive talk about what would happen if people with views like me and he who came to power in the Netherlands,” says Doegin. “We agreed that the Dutch national identity must be strengthened.”

Also read this earlier interview with Aleksandr Doegin: “When I had completely mastered fascism, I came to a total rejection of racism and nationalism.”
Not that the two men agreed on everything. The Russian thinker is not a supporter of the nation state, such as Baudet, and is not an opponent of the EU (“I think Europe must be one”).

Despite his many years of flirting with fascist thinkers, Doegin says he has a brother dead to racism. In an interview with NRC, he spoke out late about Geert Wilders. But Baudet is not bothered by xenophobia, says Doegin: “He is opposed to migration and the spread of Islam, but that applies to a significant part of European society. But I didn’t notice any xenophobia with him. ”

    “Don’t immediately demonize”

Politicians such as Baudet meet a social demand, says Doegin. “A question to which the liberal globalist discourse has no answer at all.” According to him, the victory of the Forum for Democracy last week shows once again that there is a fundamental change in Western society.

Doegin often compares the West with the Soviet Union at the end of the 1980s. “The West is on the verge of ending the liberal paradigm, I have no doubt about that. Nobody knows what Baudet will replace. But he understands that there must be alternatives. In that respect, Baudet is a ticket for the future. ”

Doegin dismisses comments such as “fascism has won in the Netherlands”. “Someone who does not agree with liberalism is not immediately a fascist. Instead of demonizing it is better to have a quiet intellectual conversation about the future ahead. ”

And what about the word “boreal,” which Baudet used again in his victory speech last Wednesday? Doegin, scornfully: “Boreal simply means” northern. ” North Europe. To immediately see some sort of racism in there is just ridiculous. Paranoid.”

With a slight increase in vote: “How much can a person tolerate? The Dutch have chosen an interesting curious politician. Why curse him immediately because he said a certain word? It is laughable! Just like russophobia, the hatred for Putin. You should know: “Boreal” was also one of Baudelaire’s favorite words. “

“Rex Tillerson, a man who is ‘dumb as a rock’ and totally ill prepared and ill equipped to be Secretary of State, made up a story (he got fired) that I was out-prepared by Vladimir Putin at a meeting in Hamburg, Germany. I don’t think Putin would agree. Look how the U.S. is doing!” Trump tweeted.

Is Trump still in line for huge oil $ rewards
from KSA and Russia after he tanked oil markets?

Are ‘wag the dog’ air strikes on Iran inevitable?

    IMO, Trump has almost no place else to go;
If a few US Senators do an intervention, get him to take a leave of absence for bone spur reasons, deals could be made for him to trade the White House for getting off Fed money laundering charges coming as early as Next Week.
NY State tax fraud is still another hurdle Trump must deal with to stay free. Currently there are 14 investgations (not covered by Muller) pending.

As of now, Trump may still feel he can beat this rap. Once windows to T’s financials come to light,
T may try one more folly, ‘Wag the Dog”. If the Military fail to act, a suicide watch should be placed on POTUS.

Tax-payers ordered to aid Farmers who protect Trump. (16 Billion $ Bribe to farmers not to linch POTUS)

The Trump administration announced a second round of aid for farmers who have been stung by its yearlong trade war with China.
The new package mirrored the Market Facilitation Program, which last year provided direct and indirect payments to farmers.
The trade war has blocked American farmers from one of their biggest customers, sending prices and exports of commodities sharply lower.

The Trump administration on Thursday rolled out a second round of aid for farmers who have been stung by its yearlong trade war with China, bringing the price tag of bailout efforts so far to about $28 billion.
About $14.5 billion worth of direct payments will be made to farmers through the subsidy program, the Department of Agriculture said, while another $1.5 billion is set aside for commodity purchases and marketing efforts.
The new package mirrored a $12 billion aid package announced last year, which provided direct and indirect payments to farmers after China placed retaliatory tariffs on agricultural products from the US. That move has blocked American farmers from one of their biggest customers, sending prices and exports of commodities sharply lower.

“President Trump has great affection for America’s farmers and ranchers, and he knows they are bearing the brunt of these trade disputes,” said Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue. “In fact, I’ve never known of a president that has been more concerned or interested in farmer wellbeing and long-term profitability than President Trump.”
The Trump administration has been eager to assuage constituents across rural America ahead of the 2020 elections. Research suggests Republican counties have borne the brunt of the tariffs on $250 billion worth of goods from China and retaliatory measures targeting $110 billion in American products.
Trump has found support in his calls to crack down on certain policies from Beijing, such as state-funded subsidies that officials said have the potential to distort world markets.
But as tariffs cast a cloud of uncertainty on a second growing season, some farmers have grown frustrated at the dispute and negotiations that began last March. American agricultural exports are expected to fall by roughly $1.9 billion this year, largely because of retaliatory duties in China.
“Every time we turn around we feel like we’re getting closer to a deal and then nothing happens,” said Rob Shaffer, a soybean and corn grower in El Paso, Illinois. “So, I guess I’ve become immune.”

Pete Buttigieg lays into Trump: A draft dodger who ‘used his privileged status to fake a disability’

“I have a pretty dim view of his decision to use his privileged status to fake a disability in order to avoid serving in Vietnam,” Buttigieg, a top-tier 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, told The Washington Post’s Robert Costa during a live, on-stage forum. “I think that’s exactly what he did.”

“Look, I don’t have a problem standing up to somebody who was working on season 7 of ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ while I was packing my bags for Afghanistan,” Buttigieg, who served as a Lieutenant overseas, replied.

“This is somebody, who I think it’s fairly obvious to most of us, took advantage of the fact that he was a child of a multi-millionaire, in order to pretend to be disabled, so that somebody could go to war in his place,” Buttigieg charged.

So Trump didn’t volunteer to mindlessly kill Asians?

    Good for him!

And according to mobster we should embrace this Butthead?

Here is Goebbels and his prophecy, while on the verge of total defeat:

Today the strategic picture has changed completely: it is US+UK against the rest of the world.

And in the US the presidency has been temporarily been hijacked by a non-system-certified candidate.

And in the UK an anti-semitic leftist has a chance to take over government.

Things don’t look good at all for you, mobster.lol
