TSA just detained a Senator.

Not refused entry, but detained.
Even if you don't like this particular Senator, one might wish to consider the ramifications of detaining the elected representative of several million people because he refused to be groped.

Made my doom-o-meter twitch a little!

Both Ted Kennedy ( deceased) and John Lewis ( politicians somewhat known by a few people) have been / are often detained for being on the no fly list of TSA. Maybe Rand Paul should talk with John Lewis about the unfairness of the TSA ?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('AgentR11', 'I') do understand your point ranger, its just that philosophically, I can't get passed the *FACT* that those airplanes are private property. And the owners of that property have decided that the admission fee is a thorough groping. Kinda like walking into a nudie bar and being surprised at seeing nekkid girls; airports are now legally sanctioned places for pedophiles to grope kids, and for regular perverts to grope adults.

If you want to fly, buy your own airplane and take off and land from your own airstrip(s).

This doesn't imply that I wouldn't celebrate if they disbanded the TSA; but till then, if the cities and airliners wish to continue to operate adult clubs with a trivial prize for the molestees; and force is not used to coerce its victims participants into entering those clubs; its not really my business to say that they shouldn't be allowed to do so.

I think they could do with some more appropriate signage perhaps...

Most property is either "private" or government. What is the "red line" for searches and seizures in this country? Is there any? Implanted tracking chips in all citizens?

I don't give 2 s**ts about terrorism. It is a seriously overstated threat to life and limb. Many more people die in hospitals from infections they get at the hospital because not enough bleach is used, from automobile accidents, and from cancer caused by pollutants.

The fact that a venue such as airports is being turned into a "no rights" zone will ultimately infringe upon my rights elsewhere, regardless of my choice NOT to patronize the airports.

A damn line needs to be drawn.

Good example though, about the adult clubs. People oppose them near where they live because of the kind of people they attract, not because the club is going to directly do anything to them, especially since they don't go to the club.
An ideology is by definition not a search for TRUTH-but a search for PROOF that its point of view is right

Equals barter and negotiate-people with power just take

You cant defend freedom by eliminating it-unknown

Our elected reps should wear sponsor patches on their suits so we know who they represent-like Nascar-Roy

TSA Precheck: $100 application fee to skip the song and dance
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '(')WSJ) To qualify, frequent fliers must meet undisclosed TSA criteria and get invited in by the airlines.
...
Precheck members usually get to use security lines set up for first-class and elite-level frequent fliers.
...
TSA says Precheck members are selected randomly for regular screening to enhance security. But that unpredictability irks frequent travelers. The agency doesn't make travelers go to the end of the regular screening line, however, but instead slips them into the front of the regular queue.

Also there is the "no fly" list, also based on undisclosed TSA criteria, but no application fee.

Are you with us or against us?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('rangerone314', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('AgentR11', 'Y')ou do not have a right to fly on someone else's airplane.
The owners of the airplanes will let you on their airplanes, if you let TSA molest you.
If you do not like the price, you can buy your own airplane, or you can choose to not fly.

Personally, I've decided that flying is way overrated, and no where near worth the price in dignity that they charge.
Thus neither I, nor my family fly anymore. Problem solved.

Unfortunately this is like the problem with spam. You can choose not to respond to spam, but it will continue because other people will. Similarly, lack of resistance to TSA in airports will result eventually in same s**t being done at shopping malls or anywhere else.
Actually, once we have a few successful terrorist bombings or shootings at shopping malls, and we will see the TSA in every one of them, and on the highways too.

There is no level of cowardice the American public will not stoop to in their pursuit of comfort and complacency.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'C')onfrontation With TSA Agent Leaves Grandpa's Ashes On Floor

A man's attempt to bring the ashes of his grandfather home to Indianapolis ended with an angry scene in a Florida airport, with the ashes spilled on the terminal floor.
John Gross, a resident of Indianapolis' south side, was leaving Florida with the remains of his grandfather -- Mario Mark Marcaletti, a Sicilian immigrant who worked for the Penn Central Railroad in central Indiana -- in a tightly sealed jar marked "Human Remains."
..."She didn't apologize. She started laughing. I was on my hands and knees picking up bone fragments. I couldn't pick up all, everything that was lost. I mean, there was a long line behind me."

Pathetic.
When the banksters want something, our policymakers move with the speed of Mercury and the determination of Ares. It’s only when the rest of us need something that there is paralysis.

How free are we today with the dominance of globalist capital and militarized security apparatus?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'S')hatner said: 'It was awful to have people looking at me with my pants down, probably the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to me... It was a long flight so I wanted to wear loose clothing because I didn't want anything to bind me.'

This type of thing is a daily occurrence, but I'll post because it's William Shatner.

Code Bravo! Freeze!
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'L')ast week, my hubby and I were flying out of ATL to Montreal. As we were going through the "security" checkpoint, one of the supervisors suddenly yelled "FREEZE!!!!" Everyone was forced to just stand there for about a minute. We were not allowed to move, fidget, look around, speak, nothing. They blockaded the checkpoint and no one was allowed to leave or enter. It was one of the strangest, most stupid thing I've ever seen at the ATL airport. Then the supervisor walks around and she thanks everyone for their participation in the security drill. It was all my husband and I could do to keep from laughing out loud at this charade. It was ridiculously obvious that the entire purpose of that game was to make people afraid and keep that sense of fear very much alive in the flying public.

Freeze, citizen!

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'A')s he passed through airport security, Falcon said a younger security guard felt threatened by his "very noticeable" package -- and interpreted it as a biological threat.

"I said, 'It's my dick,'" Falcon said. "He gave me a pat down but made sure to go around [my penis] with his hands. They even put some powder on my pants, probably a test for explosives. I found it amusing."

This TSA story is thread-worthy.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '&')quot;Later this summer, TSA expects to begin allowing small snow globes in carry-on luggage when packed in a passenger's plastic 3-1-1 bag," the agency said in a statement.

"Snow globes that appear to contain less than 3.4 ounces (approximately tennis-ball size) will be permitted if the entire snow globe, including the base, is able to fit in the same one clear, plastic, quart-sized, resealable bag as the passenger’s other liquids, such as shampoo, toothpaste and cosmetics."

Now we know what the TSA security masterminds have been working on all this time.

Apparently, if you aren't intending to arouse someone or having sex, being nude in Portland is OK. Good to know.

having started this thread oh so long ago I thought I would add this:

I see the following two news reports as being a statement about where America has gone post 911, unfortunately. They’ve hired morons to monitor your borders and security, they can effectively sort out those people who are trying to smuggle in candy but those large number of illegals who are learning to fly planes (when did we see this before?) are beyond their grasp. Once great country destroyed by its own stupid actions. There should be a minimum triple digit IQ test applied to TSA employees.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'A') convicted TSA security officer says he was part of a "culture" of indifference that allowed corrupt employees to prey on passengers' luggage and personal belongings with impunity, thanks to lax oversight and tip-offs from TSA colleagues.

"It was very commonplace, very," said Pythias Brown, a former TSA officer at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey who admits he stole more than $800,000 worth of items from luggage and security checkpoints over a four-year period.

"It was very convenient to steal," he said.
