Crap i thought I made a big long post last night but ...

Anyway people legally carrying guns in silly places - like the Black Panthers in the CA assembly chamber, have a way to scare people into making laws that aren't always good.

I'd say that had something to do with the Gun Control Act of '68 too.

Ugh. Too old and tough mostly. I recommend the "fertilizer" method of disposal, but good grinders are hard to come by. Moreover, the health department gets all fussy about that sort of thing.

They need to make a potters field like they had in NYC. Why not use some of those abandoned lots as a big municipal gravesite and bury them?

The prisoners are the ones who did the burying in NYC.

Good! Maybe this will be the thing that finally brings people to revolt against the mortuary leeches. How expensive is it really? Dig a hole. Toss them in. Fill it up. I've seen it done on the res by a half dozen strong guys in 30 minutes. There's no reason it needs to be some outrageously expensive process.

What would u fertilize with this, strawberries? Why all this trouble can't we just make a mass graves 2meters deep and plant some trees on top of it? Same balls different angle.

a distant relative had spent all her life savings on it, around $14K. She organized everything and paid for everything ahead to " surprise" relatives. She sold her trailer with a 1-acre lot for 10K, for a comparison.
Oh and it wasnt a fancy funeral really. Not even close.

Absolutely. These guys will bleed you dry. There's no reason it needs to be expensive though. Dead bodies aren't generally an infection threat, and if there is a threat it's in no way improved by embalming. All you really need is a piece of ground, a couple of shovels, and a dead person. Dig a hole. Say some prayers. Put them in. Backfill the hole. That's really all there is to it.

Of course, like everyone else, all the morticians have managed to get a bunch of BS laws passed to make it hard to do your own funeral and burial. It is purely about protecting their profit margin though. It's not like they have some magical knowledge or procedure. Any idiot can bury a corpse.

It's mostly a scam - many states do not require embalming or other "mortuary services." But the mortuaries know people won't check the laws in their state.
