You may disagree with the book's thesis, but it is hard to refute the history they talk about. Just another name for the cyclical behavior of people, as evidenced in other theories, such as Kondratieff, Elliot Wave Theory, etc.. None of them are perfect predictors, but most of them give us some insight into what is likely.
All of them are pointing down, just now, along with common sense analysis of the world financials.

Zombie Attack

Some people think the Zombie Attack is just hyperbole and something that would never really happen. Zombies are just figments of our imaginations and Hollywood movies. I think a zombie is a real person who when put under stress and hardship will react with mindless violence.
Here is a perfect example of a recent Zombie attack:

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- A woman being driven around in a rented limousine pulled up at a coat store and announced she'd won the lottery and would pay for everyone's purchases, police said, but she ended up causing a riot when customers realized it was a hoax.
Angry customers threw merchandise around and looted, leaving the store looking as though a hurricane had passed through it, police said.
"Well, of course, people like to hear that," Deakins said. "Apparently they were in line calling relatives who were not at the store and told them to come."
People flooded the registers as cashiers began ringing up purchase after purchase, but Brown had not yet paid the bill, Deakins said. At least 500 people filled the aisles and another 1,000 were outside trying to get in, he said.

This report is a 100% real zombie attack. Zombies are real and they are coming and coming soon. All it took was one loudmouthed liar in store to set them off. Be ready for them unless you are one of them.
This is apt analogy for where the nation is right now. Obama is that loudmouthed lair in the national store right now making promises to the zombies that will never be fulfilled.

That would be a good way to rob a store. With all the pandemonium noone but the cashier you were hitting might even notice what was happening. Kind of like that scene in 12 Monkies where Goines helps Cole escape by causing a mini-riot in the mental ward.

Yes it is, but as an example of what he was talking about it was well chosen because of its' public knowledge. He was making a point using a known fact not expressing some NEW news!
There are equivalent points from all corners of the world, many of which do not have the underlying high visibility. How did those Chinese students get killed in the stairwell? How do those people get maimed and even last year killed on black Friday? His point as I saw it was the development of the zombie horde is not a long term drawn out you will see it happening thing, but an almost spontaneous development caused by mob reaction to a stimulus at that moment that gets beyond the controls society thinks it has imposed on group think and action.
