One of the means by which people seem to qualify for "expert" status is by the quality of the content. You and I may not agree a lot, but I gotta say I value your content and the fact that you won't hide from an arguement/debate or what ever the politically correct wanna call it.

Its nice to have others who are willing to call Bull sh** when they smell it. Its also appreciated to have another person speak out against class and colour discrimination.

And besides, one can "go against" a position and not hate the person. I have "gone against" various mods on various issues in my time here and never confused it with them being against me or me against them. We had a disagreement. Hate, or even dislike, never entered the equation.

Learning to distinguish the two is a very helpful skill. It is necessary if you want to avoid some gross over-simplifications of the world around you.

Well put. Address the issue, not the person. It helps keep the anger away. :)

No offense to Rocc, but I think the other moderators heads would split open if Rocc was an expert. Same for Cashmere/Schmuto/Dr. Olifonte.

I just past a brainbench Cisco Networking online test. I demand to be labeled "expert." [smilie=5baby.gif]

"Cisco Networking Concepts
Score: 2.91
Percentile: Scored higher than 62% of previous examinees

Demonstrates a solid understanding of core concepts within this topic. Appears capable of working on most projects in this area with moderate assistance. May require some initial assistance with advanced concepts, however."

Sorry, you don't deserve to be an Expert.

I do though.
