$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('jasonraymondson', 'I') keep trying to force myself away from this site, but there are so many funny articles to read. I am sick of people who think class based systems are important in some fashion.
On this site we have opinion leaders, opinion followers, and wingnuts. Show me a man who considers himself an expert and I will show you a fool.
One thing I've learned is that not all fools are created equally.
What I mean is that if I am considered a "fool," how I respond depends upon the person making the judgment and how highly I regard that judgment. There are people that when they consider me a fool I take it as a badge of honor.
It is similar to the adage about not trying to live life without enemies, make sure your enemies are those who should oppose you. I am happy to live my life as a fool as long as the people who consider me a fool are the type of people who should consider my chosen way of life foolish.
Regarding the expert tag, it was a nice pat on the back when I first noticed it. I am still a little curious why it was granted (expert hillbilly?, expert in argumentation? metaphorology? perfect attendance?) but it is, ultimately, meaningless if I cannot look around and say that I am proud of both the allies and antagonisms (web and flesh) that I have forged.
I hope that I am an expert in making the right enemies, fighting the right battles and forging good friendships rooted in trust with virtuous men and women.
