$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'S')o the dynamics of scaring people, gaining legitimacy to protect people who think they are scared, and being scared, generally add up to scares which miss real threats completely.

I agree, people are incredibly poor at assessing risk.

Yes, thank you Bob, that it is pretty much what was what I was trying to say last night. On the whole people are terrible at assessing risk especially when it lies outside of their experiences.

Crighton is a traitor and should be tried and executed by firing squad. His propaganda has the potential to jeopardize future generations and the security of the nation. His lies are based on what inbred american patriotic swine want to hear not what they need to hear. They are not true partiots they are more like capitaliots.
More soft entitled american entitlement BS. Humans throughout history have [expletive]ed up their enviroenment and have crashed. American are special? God is watching only us? Pure dribble from and elite stupid "patriot". he has sold out myself and younger generations to make cash. He is a pig. and when the SHTF I hope all young folk hunt this [expletive] down and string him up like mussolinni. He has put us in more harm now. there are mass legions of these scumbags who only beleive in their "way". Not reality. they will run a truck off a bridge even if a sign said bridge out. Low IQ's a people who are selfish and greedy only use his novels as "science". Filthy [expletive]s. I hope they all die. :-D

Michael Crichton is a writer that has made a fortune writing novels with the following method:

1) He chooses a subject, preferably scientific, but not always
2) He documents himself superficially about it
3) He plots a storyline around it, preferably mildly catastrophic (the world doesn't end, but a small part of it does)

The problem people have with him is mostly with 2 - he doesn't ever write about things he knows well, he just reads about it and blurts half-digested stuff mixed with downright mistakes.

He's most famous for having written Jurassic Park, a book full of inaccuracies about dinosaurs, genetics and chaos theory, and the concept behind the film.

Eliminating inferiors. Seems sensible to me. Who could possibly disagree with promoting superior human beings and suppressing inferiors?

Do you think were going to advance our species by allowing clearly inferiors to re-produce? What sense is there in that.

I love his later works and was a real fan until I heard about this latest bunk. Won't buy it cause it would be supporting stupidity.

Genuine concerns + media hype= perpetual crises.

Chrighton is not necessarily operating within a conflict of interest, but he could be blowing smoke out of his ass, which is another cause of global warming. Some people just enjoy being contrarians.--Almost as much as scientists love to jump on a bandwagon of consensus, which they suppose is a vehicle for truth. It's remarkably easy to generate consensus in this community, as many scientists are highly specialized, highly intelligent, retards.

Trust noting but your own intuition. It's not that all of the experts are lying, they just tend to be nitwits, who see the world through the narrow angle lens of their own specialty, which is largely consensus driven, and not subject to the modifying effects of a more general point of view.

Nope I will continue to look at the collected data observe the changes and use science to help me weed out the chafe from the weed. Intelligent humans know how to do this. Using "feelings" to decide life threatening matters is a problem. It seems most entitled humans use feeling instead of actual logic. Its logical that billions and billions of tons co2 and pollution each year will cause a fucking problem. Ya think?

Sorry Homes, I'll continue to use my intuiton, because I don't trust the data coming out of the scientific, political, or economic community anymore. And judging by the concluding sentence of your post, so are you. Don't kid yourself.
