Rather than work, they are subsidized by the Israeli government heavily in order to study Jewish Law. As their numbers continue to grow, it will be an ever increasing burden upon the population of Israel.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('3aidlillahi', 'O')ne of the interesting points I found out about Israeli demographics yesterday was the Haredim. The Haredim are commonly known as "Ultra-Orthodox". They are extremely religious, mainly study only Jewish Law and multiply like none other. They have on average about 7 children per woman. The average in Israel is a mere 2.6-2.7. Even for Muslim women, it's only 4.0.

Thanks, very interesting reading.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Cid_Yama', 'y')oung soldiers from an Israeli tank unit linked arms with euphoric civilians and joined them in the hora, a circular dance, in anticipation of a possible ground invasion of the Palestinian territory.

I can't believe the book-nerd ashkinazis who run the IDF are that stupid. Hamas kicked their ass the last time they invaded Gaza.

This latest stunt has already generated enough CNN footage of bloody Israeli kids to ensure more bags of money from U.S. Congressmen. They aren't stupid enough to drive tanks into prepared kill-zones.

Wow, I've never heard us referred to like that. I'm flattered. Maybe if the arabs started hitting the books, instead of their wives, they could do something against the IDF.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('kam3Oen', 'M')aybe if the arabs started hitting the books, instead of their wives, they could do something against the IDF.

That's the reason why the Hamas kicks the IDF's butt. The communist Jews who stole Palestine in the 1940's were hard. They had no qualms about massacring children and innocents up close and in person. Their children are fat pansies who don't get off the couch for anything but a U.S. Congressman with a bag full of money in his teeth.

Hamas fighters grow up getting slapped around by their mothers and buttraped by their uncles. They are trained from day one that God won't love them unless they make Momma proud.

Today's IDF is no match for that. I thought they weren't stupid enough to roll into Gaza on the ground. Their P.R. threatens otherwise, but I think they are bluffing.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('kam3Oen', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '"')secular Jewish state" ???That strikes me as totally off the wall. What would your Orange-shirt hilltop youth settlers say about "secular Jewish state" ?
Israel was founded by jews, who, when they looked up from their book of fairy tales, realized they were a hated people and would always be a hated people, so why not defend themselves. All the founders of Israel were secular jews, and today, it is ruled by secular jews. In Israel, there is [near] complete social and religious freedom, and even missionizing is legal. It is unquestionably the freest nation in the middle east.
See photo kam30en's post

No response to my previous comment yet.
I have a few more comments/questions on your "Secular state":
1)I read Haaretz and other Israeli media regularly. I have learned that there is more segregration and discrimination in Israel today than in the Deep South USA before the civil rights movement. They gunned down some peaceful "Israeli Arab" (meaning Arabs who have not been ethnically cleansed. Yet.) demonstrators but Orange-shirt Judaeo-nazis shooting up Arab villages and throwing rocks at the heroic IDF are treated with kid gloves.

2)The govt. spends public funds "returning" "lost tribes" (people who supposedly have Jewish blood)from Ethiopia, Russia, India and Peru and pays them to convert to Orthodox Judaism. But the native Christian and Muslim descendants of the ancient Jews are massacred and expelled. Secular?

3)What is that a picture of? It is obviously staged at great expense by somebody (who?).

4) "It is unquestionably the freest nation in the middle east." Knee-jerk Zionist response - yes you are slightly less evil in some respects than America's other "staunchist ally in the Mideast", Saudi Arabia. Although the Saudis at least make a pretext of a trial before executing people.

5)Marriage between people of different religions is illegal.

CHECHNIA? GEORGIA? DARFUR? where?

Well, certainly not in Palestine in 1948, where you were systematically attacking Palestinian villages, massacring any residents who had not already fled, and then looting and burning them so any survivors could not return. And you have escaped being brought to justice for your crimes for over half a century.

Kam> nukes are overrated in assymetric situations like this..
Lets say zionists lob ~400 nukes on major *ME cities and infrustructure. OK, big damage done..

But you are still left with gazzillion pissed arabs and persians with box cutters, machine guns. Ultimately the zionists drawn in the sea and the more "smarter" again dispersed all over the world..

Boy, you are mistaken, the current Arab leaders are on friendly terms with zionists not because of fear from the nuclear stick, but because THEY ARE IN FACT ON FRIENDLY TERMS, they do mutually business (incl. sucking the U.S. purse), their childern attend the same schools in Switzerland, they hang around at the same international posh parties and so on. Unless the "arab street" grabs the real power back again from them nothing will change there.

*obviously scenario involving China, India, Russia means instant total anihilation for them anyway..

I don't think you'd call any of these "friendly" terms. Just pragmatic. The surrounding countries have had their asses handed to them on multiple occasions (no nukes required) and even lost territory (which is a big part of this whole mess). That's why some of them like Egypt and Jordan have relatively normalized relations. They've largely given up the idea of fighting Israel again because they know they won't win. Also, being on good terms with Israel has opened up aid from the US. Egypt in particular gets a lot of handouts from the US. There is still a healthy strain of hatred for the Jews there. That's where Islamic Jihad started. That's where Zawahiri comes from. And Zarqawi came from Jordan and gave his home country a kick in the face for its policy towards the West with the Amman wedding bombing.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Nickel', 'W')hy don't you ask the IDF how long the guerrillas in south Lebanon lasted when they handed Israel its ass back, in the summer of 2006?

Nickel, are you comparing Iranian students to Hizbollah. Hizbollah fighters were born bred and reared in war. I know, I worked in South Lebanon for over a year.

7000 Iranian students wouldn't add up to a patrol sized unit of Hizbollah fighters. My point is that 7000 students going to fight with Hamas would be more of a hindrance than a help.

About the rockets from Palestine to Isreal this is an interesting article: article

The rockets rappresent the "smoking gun" for the Isreali propaganda, which anyway is not useful to not blind people, but anyway it's enough to help embarraced western world government to make some statement during press conferences.

Somebody say could be as well a kind of "false flag" attack, I think part of the images from Israel are fake, and some are true, as few people are being killed.

Probably the "thousands" rockets do not exist, as in a tiny terriotory with out power and infostructure you can not have the capability to find enough metal and rocket propeller (the do not run with normal fuel, but with a very expensive kind of propeller).
As well they probably lounch this rockets from very quick and alwasy different position, so maybe the images of firing rockets are fake.
I think it's totally umpredictable from where a rocket will be fired, really this look like the "famous" images of 9-11 when the first tower been hitted, and there was troupe ready to shoot images whit professional equipment (the trope by the way was made of few Israely citizens, after disapperead...).

At last, destroyng Gaza with people inside probably will not affect the capability of lounch rockets, this is well know in military tattics, but eventually increase the risk of it.
Why the Israeli can handle this risk? Simple because basically there is no risk, as the possible damage from the rockets can be considered acceptable in a military operation logic.

The most important is to hurt badly the civil popolation, phisically and morally, on the tipical etnical cleaning policy.

killing a Hamas leader have no impact probably, how many "terrorist leader" we have been told to be killed all over the world? Is just doesn't work.
Hamas and Fatah are polical parties, and there is other parties as well, who used to divide the Palestinian politacl feelings.
Now Gazan people are together, united under the pain and the blood. Probably something that for us sound like "UNITED WE STAND".

Isreali will have a choice in the future, to be a real democracy and give real freedom and dignity to that polulation, and the necessary wellness to people in order to make a real democratic contry, and so accepting the fact that life of not-jews have the same value.

Or decide to be a colonial-military occupation entity, who need to use military power to try and survive to the unstoppable destiny of colonialists, to go back where they came from.
But where Zionist-colonial survivor we'll go? This time probably the Red Sea won't open the water to let the "Elected People " to go anywhere. Rich Zionist will leave with private jets, poor Jewis will pay the price again.

So it's probaly up to the honests jews around the world now, to stop what the Nazi-Zionist plan will one day go back to the peaceful jews.
