$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('cube', 'W')hen was the last time you've met a repairman? Not just a vacuum repairman but ANY type?
**They still exist. I had the luck of buying a very old vacuum cleaner that still COULD be repaired, an old electrolux from an old man at a flea market for 10.00 WITH all the attachments!! WOO HOO! My NEW vacuum cleaner pooped out 2 years ago, and the old one was the replacement!
I believe it or not..LIKE the ones with the bags in them, as I have cats, and we've had dogs, and in the summer (flea time) we like to throw out the 'possible" fleas we may have brought in, so we don't get an infestation.
There are a few men that still fix vacuum cleaners, they are out in the burbs, and they have a shop called "The Vac shop" where you can bring 'ol betsy in to have her belts changed, oiled up,cleaned, etc. I go there to buy bags for this one.
There are old men, some who own True Value or Ace Hardware stores, which will repair lawnmowers or snowblowers, and you'll walk out of there paying them 25.00 to 30.00 dollars, for just a tune-up.
There's still places around, if you can't do it yourself. I've got a handy husband, though, that will look at something, unless, he feels, it's not worth his time, then he'll let me go to the guys mentioned above.
