Merry Christmas! Find a radio station that plays Christmas music, that's always nice. By this time next year we'll all be dead so now is the time to enjoy the warm presence of your loved ones, a crackling fire in the fireplace, bountiful meal and Seasonal Cheer! And eggnog!

Christmas songs that I like: Walking in a winter wonderland, The little drummer boy, The first noel, Silent night, Jingle bells, Jingle bell rock, and many others.

T'was The Night Before Christmas

Unread postby StormBringer » Wed 24 Dec 2008, 23:08:54

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house.
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

Moms mending socks, and dads fetching wood.
As we sit at the table, grateful for the food.

Dad tells stories of life and song.
Only memories now that the oils all gone.

It was real hard going through it all.
watching all the cities crumble and fall.

People ran scared with no where to be.
Just like lost children, even my folks and me.

Lota people went on to a place called heaven.
Even my brother johnny he was only eleven.

But it ain't so bad now we're through.
One thing rang out loud and true.

If we learn to treat the earth the way it aught to be.
There just might be a chance for you and me.

And before I have to go off to bed.
There is one thing left that needs to be said.

The old way was wrong, hope now we get it right.
Marry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

Kind of tame. Too bad not many words rhyme with zombie.

T'was the the night before Christmas and I'm reading everything on the net about permaculture. Still can't find out where it is a population control mechanism, but it has a crap load of information on how to grow food and be more energy efficient.

I'm baking cookies on the night before Christmas. My favorites - a rolled out dough (similar to a pie crust) cut into triangles, filled with walnuts, cinnamon and sugar and rolled up. Great with morning coffee. Sorry, doesn't rhyme but tastes mighty fine. (there you go).

Been at the in laws for the past week so I have to kinda keep it tame since they are not into the whole peak oil thing. A week of consumerism, consumption, cornucopia is getting kinda old but my presents to my wife should raise some eyebrows.
