Beck is self-admittedly not an expert on economics, peak oil, or other world affairs. He is, however, a good showman with impeccable timing, decent humor, outstanding expert guests, and a thirst for truth and knowledge.

He isn't afraid to call B.S. at any time against the Democrats, the Republicans (even though he is Conservative), or whoever else has it coming. He puts on a good show, and just may enlighten a few folks that might not have been paying close enough attention.

Beck is a weird one. Some days he is just batshit crazy. Whereas I always think Hannity and Limbaugh are doing schtick and don't believe their own bullshit, they just want to make money, Beck in a lot of ways seems different. He really appears to believe all brown people want to kill you in a suicide bombing.

That said, he has become a solid doomer. He has given Simmons the time of day, apparently his minions wanted to use some LATOC stuff, and he has his finger on the pulse of the economic collapse more than most of the M$M. I think he now sees he is getting the attention of doomers of all political stripes and it is getting him ratings or publicity. So, at least on these issues, I think it is almost becoming schtick. But maybe not. He may just be paranoid like the rest of us on these sites.
