"DYING FOR CHEAP OIL?
OUR SOLDIARS ARE!"
Short and sweet, remember it has to be read in less than a second.
I did a sign once for a comix shop - traffic went by at 50-60MPH and the sign blank I had to work with was triangular. I did "SUPERIOR COMICS" on it looking like the Superman logo, and often, while hanging out in the shop, people came in and said they'd seen "Superman" outside and that's how they knew it was a comic book store!! Tragically, the colors faded after a while, which disappoints me, that paint was supposed to be good for generators and farm equipment and everything, said so on the can!
The point is, short and sweet is the way to go! You know Reagan's "Points Of Light" thing? Well, that was originated by the anti-helmet motorcycle activists, the "points of light" were originally their lighters as they demonstrated by collecting en masse outside the Governor's house in California. But, it was catchy, and since it could be adapted to almost anything, it was.
"Burn oil, we boil" for global warming,
something,
we need all the catchy sayings we can come up with because I honestly think that the more peak oil is known about, the less of a hard crash we're likely to have.
