For real! they suspect that he got it as a larva form the stream water and did not notice it until one day he was looking in the mirror and saw it pop out a little. that stuff spooks me because I have given in to the temptation of drinking 'raw' water from those oh so cool and refreshing trout streams I used to walk around in so much.

As for surveillence. They really do not need any of that stuff, under the Patriot Act the moment there is a new electronic record on you they can pull it up. Go to the ATM and get some cash out, they know you are on the move. Show up at any function where an Infraguard member is in attendance and that person could take a moment to snap your picture or dial 666 on their cell phone to acknowledge that the taget has arrived.

As far as I am concerned there are only three kinds of people on PO.com. The kind who are under surveillence, the kind who are doing the surveillence and the kind who will be under surveillence as soon as they arrive.

Everywhere I go now I have dudes with cameras following me around. It's no joke. My wife thinks I am being paranoid and to some extent I am and I know it. But that is what makes it even clearer to me when I go to the park and within 5 or 10 minutes someone with a camera shows up and snaps a few photos of me and lingers around (they think just outside of my awareness) until I leave.

This first happened to me when I was fishing in my home town about the time I first found this site and learned about Peak Oil (~august of '05.)

There is a dam in my old home town that we used to always fish beneath as a kid. The knowledge of the fishery is lost on the kids, and since you cannot get to the rocks with a boat few people ever really get it. but if you wade in the water up there and then wade the extra few hudred feet that the boats can't go you find about two acres of ricks and riffles just below the dam. Unless someone has just been there before you, you are going to catch 100 smallmouth bass, a couple walleye, a northern or two, some rock bass. you will stand a coupld feet way from huge carp and sturgeon. It's really alot of fun. When we were kids it was understood that you could back there, but after a few years they really but up some imposing fences etc so that you had to park way downstream and get in the water and wade. Now fortunately easement is a law there so you can get out to walk on the land around the deepest bank side undercuts.

Anyways, I got going up there with my waders and emerged this fine day into the main river corridor from the channel to find that my neighbor had oddly decided to take his boat onto the flowage and was right there were I came out talking on his cell phone. He and I did not like each other, no secret, but it made me feel really uncomfortable, he was a first responder and ambulance driver. At the time I knew nothing of TIPS or any of that American Stasi stuff, but it was still wierd. Well, I get up to the dam ignoring him of course because I knew I was not breaking the law. After working my way around all the wholes I end up about 20 feet below one of the spillways to fish the last good spot. All of a sudden I look up and here is this guy with a serious camera stading on top of the dam taking my picture. As I look up he says, 'Catching alot of fish' in real wierd way, almost like 'I can't bust you today but I wish I could.'

That was back in '05. In the intervening years I have learned just about every angle of the 'issues' we face and I rarely keep quiet about it if I get a chance. About a year ago I started to notice some really wierd things happening. I will not go into detail but suffice to say that I now regularly, wherever I go where there are people, notice one or to guys with cameras sort of strolling in my shadow 50, 100, 200 feet away. I often turn around just as they hurredly turn the other way.

I had one guy at the park literally sit down on a bench not not 40 feet from me and just stare at me. Well I was on the swings with my daughter. At least a couple times I would here 'click' and look up just as the guy was lowering his camera. Then he got out his wide angle lense and pretended to point it just over my should. If the guys was a spy he was really bad because I could tell he saw me glaring back at him through the lense because when I tightened by gaze so as to communicate the old 'I know you are watching me chump.' He shrunk back from me.

I would not even bring these things up except that it happens so regularly now that I can't ignore it.
