$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('threadbear', 'O')ne hardly needs to enter Abu Ghraib to witness how America treats the vulnerable. Just walk into any maximum security prison in the prison industrial complex and talk to those incarcerated for minor marijuana felonies and ask them how they enjoyed being gang raped upon THEIR arrival.
Jaye, That could be your kid! But it's okay, because you don't have to look at it, the mainstream news doesn't cover it. You don't live in that America.
There are plenty of great Americans, wise people, over half I'd say. The others are delusional narcissistic windbags.
Yes,lets walk into any American prison and see the three meals a day they are fed, free room and board, education that they are given, free postage, cable tvs in their rooms, top of the line exercise equipment, and medical care that most honest, law abiding citizens that work for a living can't afford!
And,I gaurentee you that in a maximum security prison here in New York state, you will not find anyone that is incarcerated for a minor drug infraction! They are in there because they are repeat offenders, rapists, murderers, armed robbers,or other scum that can't be put anywhere else in the prison system.I have worked in a maxi, and a super maxi in New York State, and have seen these things first hand.Except for the loss of freedom that any prisoner has, they live better than alot of Americans do now!To compare our prisons with those in Abu Ghraib is fantasy. With few exceptions, anyone in our prison system deserves to be there. Those prisoners at Abu Ghraib deserved better treatment then they received, and the soldiers involved with the mis-treatment should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
