Ah, fair point Mr. Tex.

I'm just so horrified that anyone would want to drive that monstrosity.

But eating other people in paste form is cool?

You probably WOULD have pretty good marbling on the driver of a vehicle like that, though.

On the flip side, I saw three Hummers with "For Sale" signs in their window in one day here in So Calif.

Of course, maybe they were just selling them to buy this F650.

You laugh, I saw one of those in the JCRS parking lot the other night while I was on my way to the liquor store, not from.
When it comes down to it, the people will always shout, "Free Barabbas." They love Barabbas. He's one of them. He has the same dreams. He does what they wish they could do. That other guy is more removed, more inscrutable. He makes them think. "Crucify him."

That is nice and all but that won't impress the ladies like this V8 powered Chainsaw. It will fit right in the back of that F650 too.

Hell Tyler, personally I think it would be a blast to drive one of those around, just to see people freak out.
I wouldn't especially want the fuel bill for the twin 120 gallon tanks, but it only the size of a tandam axle dump truck, not a semi tractor-trailer rig. If you are worried about wasted fuel get more railroads built and eliminate OTR truck traffic over 100 miles in range.

Honda-Pilot EX, a tiny bit more than 27K with taxes and everything. Very, very happy. Will never buy a regular car ever again. Safety&comfort are kicking ass big time.

it might surprise you but i also want them to sky-rocket. I don't particularly enjoy sharing the road with teenagers, welfare-suckers, retirees in their 80s-90s , addicts, owners of 100yo vehicles or mentally-disabled people. Hell, I pay only 4.1-4.5 cents a mile more than if I drove my old Honda-civic. If ( when ) gas will hit $6 a gallon, i will be paying 9 cents a mile more. Its well worth it. Just think how much would you pay to have a 10% chance to survive a car-crash a second before it happens. A 20% chance?

You know SUVs an such are safer in an accident. But in other smaller cars you are less likely to have an accident.

Oh well, time to invest in oil futures.

I'd like to see some statistics on that. So far 98% of fatalities in suv/small car crashes belong to small cars, from what i've got.
It sucks to die in a car accident.

Around here (Western Wisconsin/Minnesota) there are lots of SUV accidents in the winter, as they seem to roll over easily on icy roads, which is the kind of conditions that the bozos that drive the things seem to buy them for. I laugh as we drive down the highway in our Chevy Metro 3 cylinder and see the 4x4s and Suvs sitting in the ditches. But mostly I stay off the highways as why should I go anywhere? We like the place we live, so why travel.
