Economic Left/Right: -5.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.74
I used to be dead middle the economic left right region but having learned about corporate psychology I have grown very anti-corporation. My country seems to be run by an ogliarchy of the bastards and they have their fingers in everything global. Its not that the people in corporations are inherently evil, the entity of the corporation seeks to maximize itself in the current system. This maximization comes by externalizing costs on the rest of us, no matter the moral dilemma involved or the harm caused. You can't blame an entity for maximizing itself in a system, so the system has to change for any of these problems to be adressed. Like some of the top peakoilers say, there is no way to stop peak oil except to change how our financial systems work. This is part and parcel in that. Of course, this would cause the corporations to lose power and they staunchly defend their place as the leaders of the world, e.g. IMF, World Bank etc.. They have become in my mind the perpetuators of our current spiral down into the abyss. Corporations as a collective will duck and weave, all the while externalizing; until irrepairable damage is done to our species.
