I never thought I had singing talent until I heard Final Countdown. It gives me hope for a career in music. Seriously, I enjoyed the Mad Max music video strider posted a lot more. I do feel after this experience as if I can deal with another 8% decline this year from SA. I feel strangely prepared.

I can e-mail Simmons but the last time I did that he didn't write back. Of course, I was telling him SA would be producing 15 mbpd by 2008....

Giving the kid a microphone would improve his videows 300%, the guitar is dominating, I need to hear his voice a bit.

someone redo the vids with proper equipment please.

I thought all brits were suppose to sound like americans when they sang :)

Catchy little ditty, I recommend adding a few distinct verses, give the song more fabric but otherwise catchy and promising.

Just tuned my 11 year olds electric, he started when he was 5 with a plastic and nylon guitar, amp and mic kit.

What software do you use to play this song?
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Alfred Tennyson', 'W')e are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Unread postby KevO » Sun 24 Jun 2007, 09:25:12

Jim played a 30 min set at this years Glastonbury Festival, headlining the press launch in the backstege pyramid to various journos etc!
His final song was the peak oil song - 'Goodbye'
So they heard it :)

An older and primitive version can be heard at

Congratulations to this young musician. :) The press launch was the perfect venue for this to be heard at Glastonbury.

Peak Oil Theme Song

Unread postby WhatMeWorry » Wed 31 Oct 2007, 13:36:46

I think I have found my Peak Oil Theme Song.

How Far We've Come

Listen to the words and you'll know what I mean.

When I first heard this on the radio I immediately thought of peak oil.
