$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('seahorse', 'R')GR,
Move to Iraq, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Mexico, and tell me what it looks like one year post peak. Try a closer look maybe at Detroit with all the out of work car employees, or go live with Ayoob in East L.A. for awhile and give us a report. Or, you can keep your head in the sand, move in with Bill Gates and you'll never see anything.
What were the statistics released just today? 2% of the population has half the wealth of the planet?
I made plans long ago to be something other than a "barely hanging on" kinda guy. If I can make just the top 2%, that would apparently be a good thing. And I promise, I won't have gotten there by keeping my head in the sand. Quite the contrary.

I vote that we wait to form any judgment until 2012, which is the date that most pessimist would agree PO will occur, plus or minus. So, if you are right, and PO happened a year ago and no big deal, we can say, no big deal. Otherwise, we wait and see how things develope until 2012. On January 1, 2007, you and I, RGR, will reassess the condition of the world we live in. I'm sure Bill Gates will be doing fine, so we'll exclude him.
Because I don't subscribe to any Peak date other than the most current, non disproved one, I can wait another month to see how things are going, I can wait another 5 years. The beauty of this game is I won't lose out in either case. If it isn't Peak, I will continue my work until we come round to this discussion again, whenever that might be, and if the plateau/decline/depression starts, someone will throw buckets of money at me to find more of it.
