I Hate Finding Videos Like This

Everytime I think, I understand how the world works or even some sense of reality. It fxcking changes. In fact I once enjoyed the luxury of calling people who believe in aliens "Total NutBags" but now.......I got nothing to say.

I hate videos like this because it challenges everything I knew before I saw it. It has gotten to the point that I'm wearing a tinfoil hat simply because it was laughed at and considered by most that only a "crazy" person would wear a tinfoil hat. To them I say, almost everything that I was told when I was growing up turned out to be a lie. Everything, lies and more damned lies. The tinfoil hat is staying on. I'm wearing tinfoil under my ball-cap so I don't look too crazy. The amount of distrust I have for the established government/media is now insanely big. I already knew that they wern't to be trusted but now.......to a whole new level of distrust.

Stephen Greer lives in Asheville, NC.

I met him once when I lived there and I attended one of his lectures. He's a strange guy, man. He'll tell you all kinds of weird shit that's impossible to believe.

For example, during the lecture I attended, he said that alien technology had been back-engineered to produce a technological device that could play back ALL the conversations and any other sounds ever made in any particular room of any building.

When I met him, he started out sounding like any normal educated guy but as the conversation went on, he lapsed more and more into that sort of gay schtick that we all are familiar with. Apparently, he has had a gay past but is now a married heterosexual (friends and acquaintances of his whom I met while looking into the Asheville Bahai faith there told me this). His wife looks like sort of a rotund fish-wife or a subject in a 19th century Russian painting of country people or soemthing. They don't seem matched at all - and I mean, not at all. She was collecting the admission fees for the lecture and passing out literature and I tried to talk to her but she wouldn't go beyond superficialities.

I can't put my finger on it but the whole thing seemed really, really strange.

That YouTube thing is more than five years old and was the highlight of Greer's efforts to date. But nothing has ever come of it! Supposedly he has hundreds of engineers and scientists willing to testify about the alien craft they've worked on etc, etc.

Don't get me wrong... I'm fascinated by a UFO flap such as the Illinois encounter in which 6 seperate police officers were alerted along the path of a triangular craft as it cruised over their territories. And the Belgium UFO flap of 89-90 was incredible, too, with military and police involvement and testimony and recordings of and photos and the whole shebang.

But nothing ever happened of Greer's Disclosure Project and I wasn't surprised after having met the guy. The wee little voice in my head was telling me that Stephen Greer was secretly enjoying watching everyone around him swallow his utterly incredible claims hook, line and sinker. My personal judgement was that it was yet another shame that the UFO phenomenon had to suffer yet another weirdo like Stephen Greer.

Technology seems to be a central theme to their presentation. But, they say things like "the government has technologies that can be used for energy generation and transportation"....wtf? you can't "generate" energy. (energy can neither be created nor destroyed, Hello?)

These people seem to me like a more extreme version of Ray Kurzweil (a prominent techno-geek, who says humans are going to turn into robots soon).

We are living in "interesting times" and a lot of people just don't know how to cope with the reality that maybe technology isn't a god, maybe the "American Dream" is more like a nightmare.

And what a nighmare it would be if.... Bush/Cheney had an... energy generatin machine, a machine that generates energy, he he *Bush impression*

They'd turn this planet into a death star or something.
