This may sound crass and irresponsible...but I don't care. Home life is my sole focus. I never even participated in gay politics. Everyone acts so falsely.

The doings in DC are a sideshow. I'm just lucky I don't have to worry about unwanted pregnancies.

Participation in politics is analogous to "investing" energy in heat-sinks.

I blame people with your attitide in part for the mess we are in. No good can come of mass apathy.

He is qualified to be a supreme. That is all that matters.

He would be a firm supporter of the constitution, and the constitution is all we have to protect us from the pigs at the trough.

The left wing litmus test of abortion is simply a distraction. He's right, there is no right to an abortion in the constitution. you want the right to an abortion, take it to the state legislatures and make it law. Roe V Wade is a tortured decision.

Actually one could agree that the Constitution protects unborn babies, such that abortion is against the intent of the Constitution.

Nice try, spec. A zygote is hardly a human being, and certainly not one entitled to any rights under the Constitution. At any rate, Roe v. Wade was about right to privacy, not necessarily a 'right' to an abortion.

You should try reading the Fourteenth Amendment sometime, spec, or at least one besides the Second...:roll:

He's just too scarey for most of us including the moderate in the GOP.

Not quite. In almost every state, and recently enacted under the Federal Code as well, committing a crime that results in the death of an unborn child can be prosecuted as murder (or its variations, e.g. manslaughter).

If you're not alive you cannot be murdered.

The scientific definition of life begins at fertilization. The Declaration of Indepedence clearly states as follows
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

So your right. Its the Declaration of Indepedence that clearly prohibits abortion.

Unless of course your going to try and deny scientific fact as to when life begins, as found here

Cut and dried, but some people prefer to characterize an early fetus as a fish or something. Unwanted pregnancies can be a very dangerous burden in some cases, if some women choose to have such fetuses aborted, why should they be stopped? Maybe some late-term fetal brainwave scan could set the proper limits. Clearly a fetus just prior to birth is a human baby, because of the fact that moments after going out into the world they start breathing.

Its sadly disturbing how many people will say they do not support the death penalty, but support abortion. Certianly a nice double standard. Dont put to death hardened criminals and murderers, but damnit you murder all the babies you want!
