$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('cynthia', 'E')ven though this should probably be under the SURVEY section of the site, I vote for albente the aardvark too.
We're flopping around here folks on the real issue, but it's fun isn't it?
Cynthia
That makes 2 of us, cynthia. And yes it is fun. I see you have only a few posts. Have been reading posts here for a while? The use of the Open Forum to go off on tangents unrelated to PO has been going on for a long time. It adds an extra dimension to the whole peakoil.com thing.

wittiest/comical: killjoy, stupid_monkey and albente (but albente could do better considering his comical talent!)

disgusting: Yes the guy with the finger popping out of the eye, I could barely look at it, wasn't it killjoy??

dumbest: hm. stupid_monkey? I didn't find it dumb, but I always wondered what Baby_peanuts former avatar was, some kind of sicko barby doll I thought...

artistic: I quite like Penultimates one, I am not sure what it is, either some leftovers of the WTC or an abstract picture by a russian 30's abstract painter.
Montes I like for the colors, although it is on the verge of kitsch it always pops out of the grey in grey.

cliche: There are many of these, but I don't mind them, it is much better than to have no avatar at all, oooops!!!!

not getting: I already mentioned Baby_Peanuts former avatar.

I'm here to promote my new avatar of "Sam" - threetime winner of the World's Ugliest Dog Contest.

He's chewing on his own toes - representative of the frustration I feel over the fact that nobody in power is going to do anything useful about peak oil.

Almost good enough for the soon-to-be-legendary not-quite-so-quickly-deleted stupid_monkey porn thread! Those of you who didn't see it, too bad, cuz its long gone now. (reminds me of the old Laugh-In spin off comedy on TV in the 60s called Turn On which was taken off the air following one episode. The Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction scandal of its day. Like the infamous porn thread, I also saw that infamous one-episode TV show. I was a kid and my family was stunned and laughing but couldn't believe that stuff like that could get on TV. It was a different time then y'know)

Ha I didn't even think it made it to US theatres! It was very popular in Europe though. It's about the life of prostitutes.

Really? The life of prostitutes? Must be why they called it 'Yo Puta!' (maybe Blockbuster Online will have it)

Long/Triple Jumper

Unread postby Bombers519 » Wed 27 Jul 2005, 18:00:00

The guy is either a triple jumper or a long jumper. Either way he is just starting his approach and is looking down at his mark to keep his steps consistent. That is why he doesn't see her. She is, most likely, looking at a board with results of a race she just finished. Poor thing didn't know what hit her

Well thank you, but I would like to concede and i encourage you to put your support behind Ludi's new avatar. It is by far the craziest thing i've ever seen.

Update for those concerned about me finding a new avatar: I will not be meeting the August 1st deadline for reduced comical emissions. The Avatar Protocol is flawed anyway because it doesn't include people without one.

oh and just to be clear. i am not a lone stupid_monkey. "Monkeys" is spelled correctly and the "s" should be included when ever referencing me. :P

That said, i am considering changing my username, and debating whether to start a thread for suggestions. Calling everyone here stupid is not my goal.

')PenUltimatemanStanding's Avitar reminds me of what we will be staring at at the end of the oil age. A bunch of twisted and rusting metal that used to compose the skeletal structure of decaying relics from the industrial era. Blackened is the end.
.
See, k_semler, how Modern Art can actually have evocative power and interest? That's Franz Kline, American Abstract-Expressionist painter from the mid 20th Century.

Wow, I guess I will have to re-evaluate my stance on modern art. I still think museums are dull though, (unless they have sculptures I like those).
