Great find Ralfy. I may add that one can trace this confluence of corporations with banks back to the controlling interests of the House of Rothchilds in the Dutch East Indies Co. which is considered the first major transnational corporation. The Rothchilds holding pivotal roles thus in both banking and business.

"Capitalism is institutionalised bribery."
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he problem is someone filled the heads of the 'excess population' with notions of 'rights' and 'equality', that somehow they 'deserve' a share. The reality is they have no rights, they are excess, and they have no share.

Only global notions of 'crimes against humanity' prevents their extermination, and that notion seems to only come out of the closet these days when some powerful nation want's to use it as a propaganda tool against some adversary. Don't expect it to protect the excess populations of the world for long.

No one has said where the poor will be evacuated to. It will be interesting to note where that will be and how many actually arrive.

The U.S., China, Russia and several other countries have given this a lot of thought. It presents a moral conundrum.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('pstarr', '.').. I believe in the cabal, I have seen it up close and personal. It is every local Chamber of Commerce and exclusive service club where guys (gals) come together to arrange and re-arrange turfs and hierarchies. They have their own lackies. Folks with lots of money, common interests and gathering places. They have the same access to power and the same government operatives. They discuss things. They steal from each other and war. Why make it more complicated? Why should it be any different at the very peak of power. They negotiate and divvy up stuff. That is what they do.

That's exactly correct

TPTB have names, addresses and phone numbers.

Go ahead, give it a call. A three-lettered agency will be your new "best friend". If you were not on a watch list you will be. Or try 207-967-8384. Men with suits (and guns) will pay a visit.

We didn't elect them. We can't throw them out. And they're getting more powerful every day.

In addition to top officials, these people include corporate executives, leading investors, top bankers, media moguls, heads of state, generals, religious leaders, heads of terrorist and criminal organizations and a handful of important cultural and scientific figures. Each of these roughly 6,000 individuals is set apart by their power and ability to regularly influence millions of lives across international borders. The group is not monolithic, but none is more globalized or has more influence over the direction in which the global era is heading.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Tanada', '.').. under the terrorism provision there is a mandatory 5 year sentence
...
To me it is a lot like the three strikes law that forces mandatory sentences on petty drug offenders that get caught too often while our prisons are over crowded. The whole mandatory sentence process kind of makes the judge into a referee, not the person using experience and common sense to try and balance the scales of justice.

I think these are just logical continuations of the system where minor offences get escalated to serious crimes when you add "conspiracy to" or "crossing state lines to" (nowadays it is sufficient to send an email that goes via an out-of-state server). There is no proportionality to the actual harm done (if any, in many cases).

How long til we get back to ten years at hard labor for minor property crimes?

Yes because if their is one thing the intellectual and artistic classes fear is NO freedom of expression. So a subversive mindset risks having the heavy hand of Big government come down first and foremost on freedom of expression.

Drivel.

Classic TPTB blaming some obtuse group, the "farmers." All whining about what others are doing to "poor me." Boo hoo. Where is the action, where is the verb, where is the resolution?

Here, read something about real freedom and see if you like it..

It's not about seafaring, these happen to be the folks I'm familiar with. I'm sure there are many other landlocked folks who have been just as successful. You just don't hear about the. Because they are quietly living unassuming lives, in freedom.

The truth of that silly film is that the "herd" is the "herd" because that is what nerd animals do. They are not the slaves of the "farmer" any more than a queen bee subjugates the colony, they are two parts of one system.

Jarad Diamond do PES a good job of describing why some animals (cows) become domesticated and some (zebras) don't. One of the traits, a necessary trait. For domestication, is that the cows follow leadership, they troop along happily.

Humans are a self domesticated breed. It's In our genes to be what we are, as it's likely In our genes to blame someone else. What makes us such herd animals? Marriage, off spring and mortgages/debt. We get tied into that system by our owndoinfpg and then bemoan the fact while blaming someone else for our sad state of slavery. We aren't called "wage slaves" for nothing.

Yet there are those precious few who live otherwise, who do resist domestication. Some sail, many more do not, I suspect. My cousin, the Cesarian Abbot, may well be one. None are financially rich. Many lead rich lives.

But rise to the challange of your films final lines, if you are so inclined.

But please quit whining.

AS PROTESTS against financial power sweep the world this week, science may have confirmed the protesters’ worst fears. An analysis of the relationships between 43,000 transnational corporations has identified a relatively small group of companies, mainly banks, with disproportionate power over the global economy.
