$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('frankthetank', 'W')ell ..t.he question is somewhat silly because if you get to the point that you're running out of wood...who the *$$% is restocking the grocery store?
Ever hear of running out of money?
PO is about the economy and personal circumstance, not some idealized EOTW. Once, back when, the neighbor kid came over, he asked to borrow some firewood. He said dad was in jail and mom had been on a run for a week (this is back when meth was called crank) and he and the little sister had been alone in the trailer burning furniture.
If you think the world has to end before you start burning the furniture you are way off.
The legitimate object of government, is to do for a community of people, whatever they need to have done, but can not do, at all, or can not, so well do, for themselves -- in their separate, and individual capacities.
-- Abraham Lincoln, Fragment on Government (July 1, 1854)
