I will say that 736KB is rather large for an avator. It would take quite a bit for that to load for an analog (56K) modem user.

do i like it? yes, but i will not impose on anyone else's forum browsing experience, unless paid or it is mandated by a popular vote. (doesn't our capitalist, winner-take-all election system suck)

where? dunno, a friend sent it in an email.

you can find lots more here (enjoy it while it lasts): www.compfused.com

she was hit in the head but i doubt it was even enough to knock her out (MD might think differently, if he is an MD). Plus, people get hit in the head all the time, and they survive just fine.

take Wrestling for example. some of it's got to be real.

if she did get any injury, it would probably be from him falling on her.

(violence and sexist disclaimer can be found in the other thread)

I think you should leave it up for a bit longer but change it soon. Eventually the joke will wear off and more people will find it annoying.

It is hilarious though.

I dunno, the longer I look at it, the more weird it seems....

Is the sprinter making the assumption that the girl will see him coming and move out of the way, then it's "Oh shit" when she doesn't?

good thoughts stu. I started looking for another one, but it will be hard to top that one.

Plants i think you are onto something. Hell, she looked hot. I would run into her for the hell of it. I'd buy her dinner and a movie to make it up to her, after nursing her back to health of course.

Although, even though it's a great conversation starter, she might pick up on that and run away. But i'd give it a 50/50 chance.

I ran middle distance for years and I've hit more than a few runners who were acting stupid enough to get in the way of a race. Notably I stiff armed a guy who refused to move . . . a shot putter had to restrain him on the next lap from beating my ass. It's not uncommon for runners to hit each other if they don't get out of the way - as a Track runner it is a huge sin to not stay out of the relevant lanes during a race (or runway for that matter)

this is pretty brutal though . . . my guess is it was a last instant reaction . . . the jumper has no spare power to swerve quickly in that situation.

Intentional?? You don't walk onto tracks when they're in use precisely because this is what's likely to happen. Just an accident. You can see the guy in the back yell "look out!" or something right before they collide.

Do some sprinters keep their eyes closed for the start and maybe the first few strides?

It is the best avatar I have ever seen. It is a picture of stupid monkeys. Nothing but stupid self centered monkeys doing whatever the hell they want without a thought in their pea-sized brains. Kind of like the entire human race is doing right now. "Oh you are runing I am just going cross your path." "I am running and nothing is gunna stop me!"......."Oh Crap!!"

"Oh the world is running out of oil. Well don't expect me to stop what I am doing," says the world...."Oh Crap!!!"

killJoy's avatar

Unread postby nero » Sun 24 Jul 2005, 15:53:21

As far as I can make out killJoy's avatar is a picture of this guy who walked across the border into the United States carrying a sword, a knife a hatchet, brass knuckles and a bloody chainsaw. The border guards were a bit suspicious but let him in anyways.

News Article

Why is it killJoy's avatar?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')o my knowledge the Bible has been put together in its more or less current version in the 12 th century by the then contemporary clergy, weeding out scriptures that they found unfit to be included . There was a wealth of additional texts. A current example would be the findings in the caves of Qumran, but then again, why working on a book of laws rather than an interactive one...
