$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('AgentR11', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Oneaboveall', 'W')hile a lot of people made jokes, I see no tried to refute anything I said a few posts back.
What's to refute? On the left, if you walk into a unionization meeting of some meat packers, and spend the entire evening waxing eloquent on Keynesian economics, you'll like find yourself packed and wrapped with the balogna. Walk into a gun rights meeting and speak at length on history and effective military doctrine in the Balkins and you got good odds of finding yourself with the target dummies. (exaggerating for effective humor here..)
Its really horrifying when you think about it what it means, but.. half the people have IQ's less than 100. They won't be doing multi-variable calculus, nor will they be interested in the historical analysis of the Russo-Japanese war; but they most certainly will let you know how they feel about you indicating that you have an interest in such things, and they'll stomp you good if you even think the word "elite" while in their presence.
People do not want to be led by the smartest person; they want to be led by the most powerful personality, someone who will force the smartest to serve them and their interests. Being outside the boundaries of those 2 standard deviations should not be interpreted as leave to act overly confident or outwardly wise; especially not in this era. I don't know if the guillotine is due for a revival, but restraint and humility might be wise virtues for such individuals to adopt.
It seems like you and I are basically in agreement.
