Taking care of your elders used to be a responsiblity of the youngers. It will be that way again. Cid loves creating false dilemmas.

Except the elders are taking care of their kids and their grandkids and a majority of them cannot afford the cost of health care today.

I'm not responsible for what malfunctioning adults do in their own families. Maybe this is how you justify abandoning your responsibilities to yourself.

False dilemmas?!?!

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Cid_Yama', 'I')'m willing to pay more taxes to help the poor. So are most others with my level of wealth.

It is the industrialists that want this. They want a groveling, subservient workforce that has no choice but to work for slave wages or starve.

What they are after, is taking away the dignity of the working class. Creating a serf class with no rights and no options. They want a broken people they can do with what they will.

When I took my oath of office, it was to protect the Constitution against enemies both foreign and domestic. Well, the enemy is in our midst. This is not my vision of America, and I'll wager it's not yours.

Sounds like they are trying to turn your country into the Phillipines.

Warren Buffet said the same thing about being willing to be taxed more to care for the poor, disabled and elderly.

So I take it you are on the side of the Industrialists (Koch Brothers) trying to eliminate the average citizen and replace them with a destitute and broken Serf Class?

There is an evil sickness loose within your country. The fact that anyone would defend this is very disturbing.

It’s irresponsible for a society that preaches democracy, enlightenment and the freedom to pursue happiness to withhold life saving technology that would benefit everyone.

I find it a hypocritical contradiction that many of the people that adhere to the notion of, right to life, would deny it to so many of the living.

No doubt, if we could only be sure it would get to the right people istead of funding 2.5 wars or big oil subsidies.

I am a signatory on the Giving Pledge. My will directs the creation of a foundation to use my wealth to alieviate suffering. ALL my wealth. I have no heir.

Giving Pledge
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he Giving Pledge is a campaign to encourage the wealthiest people in the United States to make a commitment to give most of their money to philanthropic causes. The campaign specifically targets billionaires and was made public in 2010 by the two wealthiest men in the United States, billionaires Warren Buffett and Bill Gates.

The official website states that it "is an effort to invite the wealthiest individuals and families in the United States to commit to giving the majority of their wealth to philanthropy."

link

But alieviating suffering isn't enough. The industrialists must be stopped from turning this nation into a giant sweatshop and destroying the American people.

Right now they are trying to break the working class and make them second class citizens. No less. You are already hearing talk of limiting voting rights, and they are already targeting public education.

They want ignorant, illiterate serfs with no means of improving their condition.

This is not the America I was born in. This is more than evil.

I already use my money to allieviate suffering and fight the industrialists. The foundation is so my work can continue after my death.

And don't ask, giving YOU money would be a bad investment in humanity.

You have zero credibility. You're actions are 100% inconsistent with your statements. The wealth inequality here is disgusting and you can take affirmative actions to remedy it, but your greed prevents you. Anything you have above and beyond what is needed to survive could be used to feed starving children TODAY. And your response: "when I'm dead."

You do not know my works, you do not know shit. You are a right wing troll supporting the industrialists in their attempts to subjugate the American people.

I am working to make sure people like you do not succeed. And I have a lot of money to do it with. So you can stuff it.
