Flapjax, once you get all the characters drawn, you could write a cartoon strip for Peak Oil. 4-5 panels a day (in color on Sundays) parodying the weekly events.

I'd totally pay for that.

I'd love to do that. I wish I had more time. Maybe you could help me write it?

Do something about pstarr trying to convince us peak oil caused the credit crisis.

We also need a retroactive one for Monte. Maybe have him cutting the IV drip on a cancer patient or something.

Sure, I can help on the writing end if you like. We can knock some ideas back and forth in PM, maybe have something for this Sunday. I'll ponder on it at work.

As for this being in newspapers and the like, remember when there was talk, perhaps in jest, about a Peak Oil magazine? This stuff would've been perfect for the cover and even cartoons.

Or Golem. You figure out what that would involve. Start with the swastika, natch.

Great take on Timmy "Tulips" Geithner. You could do one of Bernanke with a bottle of ExtenZe.

As opposed to you, who have a way of not committing to anything; VM Zen. Whoopy doo! I guess you know the French ripped off post modernism from Shinto Zen? Who cares about post modernism? What does it contribute?

Post Modernism is so 80's. Self-referencing art and all that. That leads to the Age Of Nihilism, with No Art to refer to. Art has been depleting since 1971. Now we have to import 2/3 of all of our Art. We used to export Art. Then Jackson Pollock wrapped his car around a tree and David Foster Wallace hung himself. Holland is even worse off than us. They pay Artists to make paintings that get stored away in huge moldy warehouses never to be seen again.

I like Golem, we always got along, and he answered my questions without getting pissy like some here do. I go by his blog every once in a while just to make sure he's okay. It's interesting, if really weird.

Just though I would let everybody know, FlapJax and I are collaborating on a new comic strip for the group. The first comic is written and FlapJax will try to get it drawn for publication Sunday if he has time.

The comic strip is called "The Doomstead Diner".

Maybe you guys could put Eastbay in the corner mumbling about cuss words. Every now and then somebody tosses him an expletive or two just for the hell of it and to make sure he keeps mumbling. Then you could have Jack shooting at the floor by the waiter and saying "Dance!" Ludi could complain that the menu is not clear and could someone please clarify precisely how the potatoes are prepared.
