Now that we have secured the Doomstead Diner as our Intellectual Property, to build up the anticipation here I'll give you guys the general outline for the strip.
While I will be parodying some of the goings on here on Peak Oil, its not strictly going to be an In House Comic devoted to our shenanigans and debates/napalm contests. Rather, its more a Comic Strip version of stuff I write that will inform people about the concepts of Peak Oil, Monetary System Collapse, World History and Political systems, Planning for the Future ideas, and of course Good & Evil

Its a lot shorter for those of you with short attention spans who find my prose here to be interminably long. LOL. FlapJax's pictures should help those of you with reading comprehension problems as well.
I have an outline now in my head of several different story lines that will be pursued in different ways in the strip. Our debates will be mostly parodied around the Campfire at the Doomstead Diner, which is BYOF, bring your own food

The first strip is such a parody. Over time, I'll flesh out individual characters and give them their own separate story lines, sort of like Trudeau did with Duke, who was modeled after Hunter Thompson.
I'll also have story lines about meetings at the Fed, the IMF, an Illuminati/Shadow Goobermint story line, and various characters probably will take Time Trips forward or backward in time in Mr Peabody's Way Back Machine or Doc Brown's DeLorean. Also we will travel the world in the strip, courtesy of Sea Gypsy's Junk Rig, or Beamed directly to some locations by VMs Alien friends.
One thing I do know is I can write this stuff a whole lot faster than I think FlapJax can Illustrate it. I don't know yet exactly how often we will produce new strips until I know how long that takes him and how much time he wants to devote to the project until we can get picked up by a syndicate and make some money off of it. However, don't worry about me ever running out of ideas or stuff to parody, that will NEVER happen. I am really happy to have found such a talented Illustrator to work with here, his own single frame parody's also will be featured as part of the strip. As we collaborate, I think there will be an evolution so I'm not going too much further right now than just the outline here.
Anyhow, the Doomstead Diner is coming soon to a Theatre Near You on Sunday. It should be quite fun
