Yeah but that's beside the point. The word 'Soul' comes heavily loaded, the word 'self' is more generally palatable. According to your preference, my assertion applies, if there is any transference possible, show me. At present I have no ability to believe this can happen by human hand any more than life being constructed from raw elements, as above.

I kinda think we are fairly close to creating life, in the sense of a self organizing and self replicating system. Not that we could "design" it to do something we want, but just bash stuff around enough that, through chance, something is created that meets the conditions. Pretty crude.

Soul and self are much further afield. we can't see, it touch it, weight it measure it in any way. We really don't know what it is by any agreed physical definition. Then there is no way we can act in it, as in transfer it.

Destroy it? Yes, that is possible. Make it?

That's the weirdest thing, the complex ordering of already living organisms is relatively easy. This is irrelevant to the challenge, creating ANY living organism from scratch, regardless of ability to self replicate. Nobody in science is anywhere near any actual ability to do this, despite the huff & puff.
