In all actuality, I like the fact that someone can whine and complain about their government. I find that most people who would say no, either envision some fantasy land where everyone gets along, or they do not know their history, and what the former powers did to keep their power.

I think a good poll would ask, What power in history did the best job. (or least horrible job if you prefer)

My point is that if today's current egalitarian society isn't good enough, you ain't seen nothing yet. Liberalism, the Great Society of free stuff from the government is funded by cheap, plentiful resources. As the party ends, you are going to see a new (old) society emerge; one where there are no safety nets to catch you when you fall, one where you are on your own and at the mercy of your family’s social/economic position.

I was very proud to be an American. I served my country for over 6 years. Lately I am troubled by what the people we never elected are doing, but I believe in the ideals of the USA.
