40 Volcanoes Are Erupting Right Now As The Crust Of The Earth Becomes Increasingly Unstable

40 Volcanoes Are Erupting Right Now As The Crust Of The Earth Becomes Increasingly Unstable thumbnail

Have you noticed that our planet has begun to shake, rattle and roll?  Over the past few days we have seen major volcanic eruptions in Costa Rica and Indonesia, and according to Volcano Discovery 40 volcanoes around the planet are erupting right now as you read this article.  Meanwhile, earthquakes continue to shake the globe with alarming regularity.  Just last week, Ecuador was hit by a magnitude 6.7 earthquake and a magnitude 6.8 earthquake in rapid succession.  Overall, there have been more than 3,000 earthquakes of magnitude 1.5 or greater within the past month globally.  So yes, I write constantly about the rapidly accelerating deterioration of our financial system, but the coming “collapse” is not just about money.  I am convinced that we are entering a “perfect storm” in which a confluence of factors will absolutely cripple society and bring about changes that most of us would not even dare to imagine right now.

Let’s talk about the volcanic eruptions that we have seen in recent days.  The eruption down in Costa Rica took authorities completely by surprise, and a thick layer of dust and ash is coating vehicles and buildings 30 miles away in the capital city of San Jose

A volcano has erupted in central Costa Rica, belching smoke and ash up to 3,000m (9,840ft) into the air.

Hundreds of people have gone to hospital, complaining of breathing difficulties and skin problems.

Some schools were shut and some flights into the country cancelled or diverted.

People in the capital San Jose, about 45km (30 miles) west of the Turrialba volcano, said layers of ash had coated buildings and cars and there was a fierce smell of sulphur.

Leading up to this eruption, there were “swarms of small earthquakes” in the vicinity of the volcano, but scientists assured the public that these earthquake swarms were “not signs of an imminent eruption.”

Keep that in mind, because later in the article I am going to show you something.

But first let us talk about the other major eruption that is happening right now.  Down in Indonesia, Mount Sinabung has violently erupted, and this is causing all sorts of chaos

The death toll from a volcanic eruption in western Indonesia has climbed to six, an official said Sunday, with fears more could have been trapped by the hot ash.

Three people also remain in a critical condition after Mount Sinabung, a highly-active volcano on Sumatra island, unleashed a series of fresh eruptions on Saturday afternoon, disaster agency spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said.

“Nine people were struck by the hot clouds. Six died, and three others remain critical with burns,” he said, adding the injured had been taken to hospital.

According to one report, “torrents of lava” are pouring out of the volcano, and this is just one example of how volcanoes that were once considered to be “inactive” are coming to life all over the world.  In fact, prior to 2010 Mount Sinabung had been dormant for about 400 years.

Meanwhile, there is “unprecedented” activity at Iceland’s very dangerous Baroabunga volcano.  This one is not erupting quite yet, but we definitely want to keep an eye on it, because a major eruption there would have serious implications for Europe.

To finish this article, I would like to provide an update to a piece that I posted last week on End of the American Dream.  Just prior to the eruption of the Turrialba volcano in Costa Rica, there were significant earthquake swarms in the vicinity of the volcano.  Well, the exact same thing is happening at three major volcanoes in the United States right now.

I would like to share three images with you that come from Google Earth via the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network.  This first image shows the earthquake activity that has taken place in the area around Mt. St. Helens in recent days.  Over the past month there have been 95 earthquakes in the region, and most of them have been centered right along the core of the volcano…

Mt. St. Helens Today

This next image shows what has been happening at Mt. Rainier.  Those that follow my work closely already know that I consider it to be the most dangerous mountain in America and that I believe that a major eruption of the volcano is coming in the not too distant future.  There have been 36 earthquakes at Mt. Rainier over the past month, and once again most of them have occurred right along the core of the volcano…

Mt. Rainier Today

Mt. Hood is also a very dangerous volcano.  There have been 126 earthquakes in the vicinity of Mt. Hood in recent days, and in this image you can see that the earthquakes have been centered very tightly on a spot on the south face of the mountain.  This is alarming because it was also the south side of Mt. St. Helens that violently erupted back in 1980…

Mt. Hood Today

When there are major volcanic eruptions or major earthquakes in other parts of the globe, many Americans don’t seem to care too much because they don’t think that this rise in global seismic activity is any sort of a threat to them personally.

But the truth is that the entire west coast of the United States lies along the Ring of Fire, and virtually every other section of the Ring of Fire is roaring to life these days.

At some point, there will be historic earthquakes on the west coast.

At some point, there will be historic volcanic eruptions on the west coast.

Scientists assure us that these things are inevitable.

So let us certainly hope for the best, but putting our heads in the sand and pretending that these dangers do not exist is not going to help matters one bit.

Get prepared while you still can, because at some point time will run out.

Economic Collapse

Soon as I read the title, I just knew it was apocalypse boy who just happens to sell (drop shipping) all the supplies you will need. Strange how the ones who believe they are getting Raptured feel they need supplies. On the invitation to heaven it says BYOB. Yahweh on a budget now. Economy slow and all that. Maybe I’ll bring a big lasagna and garlic bread.

    WATERSHED MOMENT
World War III will be fought over water

“Powerful corporations have created a water market—they pollute our rivers and make us pay money for drinking water. They say that only with a high price for water can we get disciplined use, but this is not right. In my region, for the last 19 years our river parliament has made the rules and regulations that everyone follows, and everyone has enough water. Sustainable community-led water management has existed for thousands of years without anyone putting a price on water. So why do we need it today? Because the corporate sector is making the rules. Privatization is not the answer, charging more is not the answer”

Brazil losing forest the size of two soccer fields per minute

“”In some cases, we are walking backwards,” warned Azevedo, citing poor cooperation between competing government departments and civil society in Brazil.

“This is not a problem with one ministry – it’s a problem with how the government has been structured in the last couple of years,” he said.”

You may want to revise your concern about Mt Hood and those earthquakes centered on the south side when comparing this to Mt St Helens. As you may remember, Mt St Helens began with a series of seismic events, most of which were directly underneath the mountain. When the first of the eruptions began, they were located on top of the mountain. When the big event of May 18th began, it happened on the NORTH side of the mountain and the north slope slid away from a strong earthquake. The eruption that followed blew laterally and to the north initially .. then blew vertically for the remainder of that eruptive cycle. With exception of the entire top blowing off, the south side of the mountain was one of the “safer” places to be that day. There was no southerly facing eruption and still hasn’t been right up to this day.

I love how some poo poo the facts stated in the article. A volcano can shut down the Us in a few hours. Ground all flights into and out of and around the country. Cause trillions in damages. Kill millions and yet it is ignored because it comes from someone who makes an income from selling emergency supplies.

You all better do some research on the shaky ground you live on. All of those American volcanoes are up wind of the rest of the country. Where will all of that ash and poisonous gases go? EAST.

“… there are about 262 volcanoes and volcanic fields in North America.”

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_volcanoes_in_the_United_States

    https://volcanoworld.wordpress.com/2012/02/12/how-many-volcanoes-are-there-in-the-united-states/

Not to mention that the US is home to a super volcano, Yellowstone.

BTW: The Ps have only 53. And if they erupt, most ash and gases will blow out to sea, affecting only the local population. .

Do not forget Climate Change – Another disaster coming from mother nature.
    A. History – The Last Ice Age
    1. 22,000 years ago Ice Sheets covered much of the northern hemisphere. These advancing ice sheets destroyed everything in their path literally scrapping the earth down to bed rock in most areas. They dug out the holes that became the great Lakes.
    a) 22,000 years ago the great ice sheets that buried much of Asia, Europe and North America stopped their creeping advance.
    b) The North American ice sheets covered all of Canada and into the United States including; Kansas, Wisconsin, Michigan, Montana and North & South Dakota, the terminal line of these sheets are shown on Map 1.
    2. 10,000 years ago Ice Sheet has retreated to the position shown on Map I.
    3. 5,000 years ago Ice Sheet has retreated to the position shown on Map I.
    4. 1,000 years ago Ice Sheet has retreated to individual glaciers and small ice sheets in Alaska and all of Greenland. Written records of early explorers show the retreat was a fact before the industrial revolution and was the continuation of a process that have been going on from time before mans written records.
    B. Last 200 years – The remaining glacier ice in Alaska and mountainous areas of North America has continued to retreat. Since the earliest written records starting over 300 years ago in Alaska, Europe and in Glacier National Park in Montana the retreat of the Glaciers has been well documented. So this process has been continuing for all of man’s recorded history and well before the industrial revolution.
    C. Man’s production and use of hydrocarbons may be accelerating the buildup of CO2 but could also be caused by natural occurring environmental conditions as volcanic eruptions and naturally occurring cyclic changing sea currents and temperatures.
    D. Current Conditions –
    1. 2015 According to Tom Wagner, the cryosphere program scientist at NASA, the paleoclimate record shows that sea levels can rise as much as 10 feet (three meters) in a century or two, if the ice sheets fall apart rapidly. As have happened several times in past geological history.
    2. We are in the late part of a warming trend that has been going on for 20,000 years. We are not the cause but we may be aggravating the temperature rise.
    3. One day the temperature rise will moderate and then reverse in hundreds or thousands of years.
    E. Do not forget volcanoes have put out huge amounts of H2S and several times more CO2 than humans ever have over time. But the historical records show cooling of the atmosphere after large volcano eruption events.

Geophysical cycles are nothing new and USGS.gov is an excellent resource for information.
By the way, not long after Mt. St. Helens had its eruption and flight was permitted over it, we received clearance but our single engine plane ran rough for awhile due to the ash that remained in the air above and around it.
    It was quite an experience!

  11. St Helens Junkie on Tue, 24th May 2016 10:46 pm

The writer is obviously not familiar with volcanos, otherwise they would know it was the North side of St. Helens that blew out and cause the largest landslide in recorded history.

  12. Lizzard on Tue, 24th May 2016 10:50 pm

Wow, talk about someone who needed to do another year (or 5) of high school science. Even if Mt. St. Helens erupted on the South side (which it didn’t), how would that have anything to do with any other volcano erupting on its South side or any other side? NOTHING! And how, exactly, is any of this out of the ordinary? There is constant seismic activity. Just because you started looking at it doesn’t mean this has never happened before.

The increased awareness of all types of occurances all over the globe has nothing to do with the excellent ability we have to record information and analyse it using state of the art computers? I’m sure that since we could not detect all these occurances before they did not happen. Being afraid, “worry about your eternal soul” ring a bell, has always worked. Keep your mind off the ball and the other team will always have the advantage. Can you think of a better marketing strategy of the upper classes. Are they selling their private jets yet?

All these earthquakes are foretold in the holy bible.
Say what you want and what you will..
The end is already foretold and no one can stop it or change it from happening. There is no global warming..these are the signs of the times..As spoken of in Revelations..and in the book of Daniel..
Laugh it up..You will not be laughing when the Son of Man comes..and your not ready for his coming.
Many wil cry and ask the mountains to cover and fall on them…Cause they will not be able to face him.
We are in the last Church age.We are in the 6th Seal..This is what is supposed to happen before the coming of Christ..Christ comes in the 7th Seal..Which is the last..Sad people really have no clue what is going on..Wake up..

  20. makati1 on Wed, 25th May 2016 12:55 am

BTW: Nic, there are hundreds of different religions in the world, ALL claiming to be the one true religion. Did you know that Christians, Jews and Muslims ALL worship the same god and claim him to be the only one, yet they are killing each other to prove it? Yes, religion is a joke on people like you.

  21. bobcat on Wed, 25th May 2016 1:28 am

And there are also over a dozen religions based on an immaculate conception. I keep wondering why that is such a popular piece of their story. I’m not against religion or it’s adherents but, I demand MY freedom to choose which if any I will call my own.
And when we do find ourselves in the end times, it is not up to religious fanatics to “deliver us” to our end, but to work with the world until that end arrives. STOP trying to hurry it up.

It is reasonable to admit that the heating of the atmosphere and ocean is going to affect the crust why wouldn’t it. This is just another climate change issues to deal with not to mention the strange cocktail of all that volcanic ash mixed in with all the human produced vapors. We can say one thing as the great human collapse gathers steam there will not be the rebuilding post seismic activity we have seen in the last 100 years. If you live in a place that is facing natural disasters your future is going to be affected by disaster without the support you may be planning on.

The unbelievers and naysayers will have such a surprise when they face the Lord and he turns away and says I know you not. Almighty God forgive them for they are blind and do not know what they are doing. As for myself and my family we will live our lives for God and worship his holiness, He gave his life for all of us. People I pray your eyes will be opened and you see the truth before it is to late.

Besides, the Lord God said that “The earth is reserved for destruction by fire in Last Days”/Magma + Methane rising, causing warmth and disturbing gases of atmosphere. Also; planting trees would have fixed this so-called global warming, BUT- in ’90s, Democrats didn’t do this.
There is instead going to be a mini-Iceage, in 30 to 30 years. Another scripture says: “Seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter shall not cease ’til I come.”

Except all of the activities cited are in fact normal geological activities. The last 100+ years have in fact been remarkable for the lack of major volcanic activity. The past history indicates that it is normal to have dozens of small eruption and 4-6 major eruptions. Mt. Saint Helens in the 80’s was the last major in the continental US, but it was not considered a really big one, just well documented. The simple truth is we have not had a steady rate of volcanic activity and THAT directly impacts the climate. If this marks the end of a quiet spell (100 years is nothing in geologic time) then Mother Earth may be about to take care of global warming.

I suppose a website based on a doomsday theory of oil suddenly running out would put out a doomsday article on volcanoes as well. BUT this is exactly what has been predicted for years by geologists. They have been raising alarms in Seattle for years. Mt. Hood is far more remote and less of an immediate threat. IF Rainer were to erupt, the stock option to be made is to buy Airbus, sell Boeing. Most likely, an eruption of Rainer will be similar to Mt. St. Helens, but a little bigger. The real danger is the Lahore mud flows that will run down the mountain for up to 30 miles. 100,000 people are at risk. And it will lower temperature by 1 degree for 2-3 years. It is an event, not an unstable crust. Sorry, but that was moronic scaremongering to use in the title and in the article.

  37. Paul on Wed, 25th May 2016 5:54 am

@Skoony – according to the USGS Mt. Rainier is experiencing swarms of microquakes [1.0 or less) which is an indication that magma is rising to fill the magma chamber.

The glacier on Rainer is the primary danger during an eruption. The melting will cause a giant lahar [debris flow composed of a slurry of pyroclastic material, rocky debris, and water], which computer modeling shows would scour to bedrock anything below 150 above sea level – which is a lot of Seattle.

This third rock from the sun has been orbiting the sun for a long time and it will continue to orbit the sun for a long time more. There has been numerous mass extinctions and there will be more. New life form will emerge and they will also go extinct. Homo Sapiens Sapiens had their day in the sun and at some point in time will join the evolutionary history of the planet as being pre-historic. They only ones that think we are somehow special our ourselves.

This guy’s an idiot. I live on the island of Sumatra about 50 miles from Mt. Sinabung. And yes it was dormant for 400 years and reawakened in 2010. It’s been having eruptions every 6 months or so since then. The reason the 7 people died is because they entered a zone declared unsafe. Furthermore, I teach geology here and there’s an earthquake of magnitude 1.5 or higher every two minutes on Sumatra. Earthquakes and volcanoes are nothing new and the occur due to plate tectonics. The best thing to do is to ignore this idiot.

I agree with Paul that Suspicious Observers is a good source for tracking seismic activity. There is a correlation between electromagnetic solar activity such as sunspots, CMEs etc. and seismic activity. And to all the sneering scoffers, Google this: “volcano season”. There’s a debate among volcanologists and seismologists about the increase in volcanic activity, the catastrophist school of thought says yes, the uniformitarianists say no. It’s an old debate.
