$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('mekrob', 'I')f you knew Fus7a then you'll realize that Spanish and English have a lot in common as far as grammar and such, not to mention a good bit of vocabulary as well. The common alphabet is a huge plus.
Oh, I see what you mean. As everything, it all depends on perspective. English is certainly much more similar to Spanish than to Arabic or Russian or Chinese. You're right.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')hen you have complex numbering system(book, two books, three books, 10 book), missing words (I know a man drives that car - missing 'that' or 'que'), plural/singluar complexes, 5 different words for negation (la, ma, laisa, lam, lan), idaafa, etc
.
Ahhhh Arabic. I'm good with languages, but Arabic is just too difficult! Lebanese can learn English and French so easily, but for for a foreigner to learn Arabic it is so hard! I'm thankful that I can understand and speak (with many grammatical mistakes) the Lebanese dialect. But when it comes to formal Arabic, I don't understand a word (and I've been here for 10 years!). I took a course in university "Arabic for foreigners", but I barely learned the alphabet. But then again, one could live in Lebanon forever speaking just English or French and not have any problem, so I was never really forced to learn Arabic.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'I')'ve never been to the ME, but with very little trade with Hispanic countries, there's little reason for any Arab nations to be speaking/learning Spanish (unless in Maghreb).
