That's what we call parsely. In America it is used as a garnish, sprinkled around a plate for aesthetic purposes. But I know that it is a richly nutricious plant. btw, my recollection was that when I had some taboulli that I could see chunks of wheat. Maybe there are variants of the recipe that call for non-ground wheat.

When you don't piss me off, rog, you make me laugh. We obviously know more than you sheep farmers. In case you didn't notice, we Americans are at the forefront of the future, you Kiwis are spiteful nobodies. :) Of course, I should allow for the presence of serene folks down there who just want to live their lives and don't share these rancid putrified views.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'O')nly 20% of Americans even have passports. Ironic, given that the US has been the engine of "globalisation".

As an American I've extensively traveled the world as a backpacker (with a Candian flag on my backpack).

From what I saw: Not many Americans are out there doing the same. In my years of traveling I made pals with tons of "real" Canadians, Germans, and Australians. Never met another traveling American who didn't piss me off with their need to comprehensively plan every aspect of their vacation: First we go here, then we take a photo of that, then we go here so we can tell everyone we went there, so on and so forth.

Maybe its just that most Americans choose to take special organized tours that don't expose them to anything they don't want to see. Perhaps that's why I didn't see many?

Or maybe they were all pretending to be Canadian like I was!

Eh?

Oops. You're right. That was supposed to be "parsley" :oops:. It's called "perejil" in Spanish, so I mix them up.

The wheat should be ground. Perhaps they had put too much wheat where you ate it :).

Roger: Aren't you overdoing the "we hate America" campaign a bit? :). Truth be told, there are many cool Americans; one just has to search extensively for them :).

Vexed: If Americans don't travel often overseas, it is likely that when they do, they'll prefer an organized tour. Europeans are so used to traveling around Europe, that they find it easier to engage in adventures. Besides, most people are not adventurous enough to go travel the world with nothing but a backpack and a dream. Perhaps that explains it?

Let me sum it all up: (Most) American's don't know shit about the real world. They are barely cognizant of what is going on in their own country. They sense that something is wrong, but can't quite figure out what or why? Why worry about it anyway? Just watch more movies and continue shopping.

Apologies to American friends here at PO... I know most of you get it!

You are really dating yourself with that one PMS... Are you serious? Almost all countries have made major contributions to scientific discovery. Have you heard about Marie Curie or Copernicus? Polish people are not stupid. I would dare say their education system now, is currently light years ahead of that in the US. At least we don't graduate people from high school that are functionally illiterate... It doesn't mean they can find a job, but most of them can speak 3 or 4 languages and do advanced calculus.

Yeah but that doesn't compare to the Great American Inventors like Einstein, Werner von Braun, Edward Teller, Igor Sikorski, John Ericsson etc.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('AirlinePilot', 'T')hreadbear,

As usual your hatred clouds your vision. While some of what you say is true, there are plenty of us left who are in great shape, we walk upright, and possess plenty of smarts. We know whats going on around the world and grasp the sickness of the politics in our country. We don't wear pajamas and we can kick the ass of most of the folks we run into.

I find your characterizations to be rather childish at best.

Speaking of childish... maybe a lot of the hatered toward America is due to the fact that we Americans resort to threats and blatently toss around statements like "and we can kick the ass of most of the folks we run into."

I can't stand Americans taking such a macho cowboy attitude.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('AirlinePilot', '
') The USA is still the only place I'd like to be when the SHTF and I've been around. The bottom line is that even though we are f--ked more so than a lot of places, where we end up will be better than most. It's the level at which you start that determines how far you sink.

Stop trying to cloud the issue with facts! Americans are great at marketing and nothing else!!! Hence, the reason we find ourselves in the state we are in worldwide.

Wow, that's quite a list, smiley. Interesting that it goes back to 1945. Seems to me that the powers that be in the US came to the conclusion back then that the world is screwed up, we had to do something about it. We're they wrong, I don't know, I guess so. You Europeans were sure a lot of fuck ups.

You are rather misinformed...

(a) National Front is a British Political Party.

(b) Have you heard of Maoris?

(c) Have you heard of Somoans and other Pacific Islanders?
