Don't have any plans to leave northern california (Sonoma which is wine country too) but if I find myself in France by some chance I'll let you know.

This may be the case. Having said which, once roused from my post-existentialist slumber I don't feel the urge to shut up right now (growl).

Firstly, the point I am trying to make about taking the likes of Matt off to see another culture is mainly to explain that the imminant end of the 'American Way of Life' is not necessarily the end of the world. There are other cultures, and other ways of doing things.

I am not saying that places like France are going to be a slop-trough of fine wine & cheese post-oil, far from it. But there are other ways.

Secondly, that there is only about 1% difference between Matt's view of the world and mine. It saddens me that there has to be such a gulf between the generations, and so much arguement (having said which, it would help if he wasn't such a st***d little neg****e self-publicist s**t-st***er - grin).

Thirdly, I wish he would listen. Just for once. That would be nice (sigh....)

Yes, only because Saddam had oil contracts with French oil company Total.

Yes, only because Saddam had oil contracts with French oil company Total.

Total had contracts in Iraq because - strangely enough - France was not trying to rule the world at the time, just to do an honest bit of business. When last I looked at the newspapers, non-US oil companies doing business with minor middle-eastern powers was not deemed a threat to world security.

It wasn't France that killed 500,000 Iraqi civilians and it isn't France that's staggering from side to side all over the Middle East - like a drunkard that's running out of booze & wondering who he's going to have to shoot at next to get his next bottle before he finally keels over.

And ultimately, it isn't France that's going to suffer when it all blows up - just don't say that we didn't warn you.

Um you better check that out again.
France is hurting in terms of ag production, and costs, lots of people out of work, they are thinking of throwing out non-residents...
It would be better to stay in western US, preferably where it rains.
You are rich, come move west, get a cabin hot tub and a few salt licks and watch the deer.

This is my last post to this forum, and I mean it! Oops, I have to admit I am back for at least my third helping of doom. I keep trying to put the ice cream scooper down but everytime I do that pesky vanilla and chocolate carmel aroma creeps up out of the container and calls me back. It smells alot like a nice quart of oil, freshly cracked open. I can almost feel it as I think about that golden goodness refreshing the thirsty engine of my retro-muscle car now. How can this be bad? It feels so goooood! If I am honest, as addicting as this site seems to be, it has been one of the only places where people like us can talk to each other without getting pummeled for daring to believe Dow 16,000 isn't right around the corner.
I return to you now at the turning of the tide.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('MattSavinar', 'L')MAO. Hear me out here: you know the single archetype of person who seems to be hostile to me personally in regards to LATOC? It's always the same guy, that is the veteran male - never female - environmental/green activist guy!

Lo and behold, you seem to have some anger/resentment towards me and that's exactly how you just described yourself down to a "T"

It always used to perplex me why this particular archetype seems to be the only person who I get the hostility from in regards to LATOC - openly here on the forums but more subtly in real life. I kept noticing it and was throughly confused so I did what I always do in said situations which is ask an older (wiser) woman about what to make of this definite pattern I had noticed. One explained it to me that it's probably some form of male jealousy. This perplexed me as whatever my flaws are, I am definitely not a jealous person whatsoever and you generally have to have a bit of something in you in order to spot in other people. Since I'm not a jealous or resent-filled person even in the slightest, the jealous and resentment that was getting projected at me personally had not been picked up by my own internal inter-personal radar.

I onced asked myself the question, why do I dislike Matt Savinar? It took about 10 seconds to realize. You are arrogant. An example? Look above, the - "I don't have the jealous gene" bullshit. Oh yes you're the perfect poster boy for eugenics, great in all ways.

One thing we can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt is that you are insecure. Every time someone says anything which is slightly negative about you, you attack them, using methods like above. Methods like "well if you're attacking me, there is nothing actually in what you are saying, simply put you are a beta male who is jealous of me, nah nah nnn nah nah". It's a common attack you use as a defense, quite funny how you continually reuse it actually.

I wish someone who I could respect was in your position rather than someone like you... I wish we had a real poster boy for doom. I am embarrassed you are where you are, and you represent what you do. But hey, that's america - where the fat and arrogant get breaks.

Thanks for the kind words!

You're right, I'm a total fat ass. And am even more arrogant than fat. I mean when you look like a beached whale the way I do, you really have to one arrogant SOB to post pics of yourself on publicly available internet sites:
