Well I suppose we boomers were the batch of lemmings that hurled ourselves off of the financial cliff... There is the fact that you have to get that big batch of lemmings before you can really pull it off well mixed in there someplace I am sure.

I remember being young, and mad at my father's generation for polarizing the developed world up for all out world war too. They also gobbled up a bunch of truly melodic and orchestral music leaving us just scratchy rock and roll to tinker with as a consolation prize.

In 40 years a new batch of disillusioned youngsters will tag the current crop of "we wuz robbed" whiners with a societal crime of great proportion and oppressive nature to boot.

Until that time, find something that is constructive in the here and now, love someone or some thing or preferably both , and have a dandy life.

This post will undoubtedly fall in with my other recent post about gold having an expiration date, and indeed, it should fit right in like peas in a pod.

Being defeated right from the get go does save one a bunch of struggle and embarrassing effort in front of their peers.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('GASMON', 'L')oad of crap to blame one generation - the Boomers. (I was born in 1952 so I suppose I'm one of em). Capitalism / greed / economics / go for growth / energy wastage etc etc has been going on for many generations. The Boomers perhaps had the best of it - but did not invent / start it (the slide). Party on !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those were the day's :)

You can't blame it all on the boomers.

The people who run things are often from the preceding generation. Teddy Kennedy was 77. He's no boomer.

Many of the people running the Congress are geriatric democratic party dinosaurs leftover from the Great Society, not boomers.

Sorry, no its not. Its a fairly standard casting reel. Their profile has changed over the years a bit to the flatter style shown in the pic; but it is distinguishable by the open gap in the front that looks kinda black in the picture.

A zebco reel, has a closed cone in front; they do however share a common feature in that the thumb is used to control release of the line; in a zebco, a plastic button is pushed in back; in the traditional casting reel shown, the thumb is held and released against the spool.

To those not in the cultural "know"; a zebco is considered a child's or beginner's reel because of its resistance to massive tangles and fidly-ness. Unfortunately, it is non-fidly, up until the point it stops working, at which point it becomes fiddle-proof. lol
Yes, we are. As we are.
And so shall we remain; Until the end.
