$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('centralstump', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Eli', 'T')he key to this thing will be the time frame they are talking about this happening in.

My bet is that they will say this event is twenty years in the future. They will mention that could happen now, but will play that down by mentioning Ethanol and other BS.

My guess, too. But remember people watch these shows with their laptop. A soft entry into the subject and then the SHOCK of surfing to LATOC will probably be better anyway.

I'll look into making a torrent if I can find a way around a copyright violation.

I don't know, have you ever watched this show before, "Mega Disasters." If anything it goes over the top in the doomer direction. I watched the show last night about global flooding due to global warming, at the end of the show Washington D.C. was under water, sinrens were blaring and dark music was playing. They tend to be overly dramatic, and I am not sure that is such a good thing for PO, then again, it seems to be what much of the public responds to these days.

Ya, the Megavolcano one kinda hits close to home. I live in Omaha which puts me right ont he edge of the ash fall for the Yellowstone caldera.

Then those damn scientists report stuff like this -

http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news ... stone.html

I am too precariously perched over the chasm of doomerism to be told stuff like "Yellowstone is buldging."

I live in Ontario Canada and I didn't see that show listed on the history.ca website.

Are there different schedules for this around the globe or wherever the History Channel is broadcast?

Someone from Ontario want to enlighten me?

Anyone want to be that either Ford, GM, BP, Chevron, or Shell are going to be sponsoring the show? They want to show how they're eco-friendly and energy efficient and "thinking about our energy future"!

Funny, during a break for the global warming Mega Disasters show my husband and I cracked up. First, there was actually an ad for the coal industry - I have never seen an ad for the coal industry before. Then a horrible ad, which showed a family on Christmas morning, who had to wait to open their presents until after visiting grandma. The family hopped in the car, drove to grandma's, stopped and waved at the poor woman, then drove on, much to her dismay, so they could get home and open their Circut City gifts - big TV's, computers, ect. Disgusting. Then to wrap up the break, there was a car ad, not for a "green" car, but for a fast, high powered, luxury sedan. After the break we went back to breaking icebergs and mass flooding. I was truly amazed.

I'm glad they're burying this late night on an obscure channel. We don't need the general public panicking yet, I'm really hoping for another year or so of preparation. Shhhhhh...... 8)

11pm here darn it. Too late for all of us to stay up and enjoy. Maybe The History Ch will repeat it at a more convenient time as they do with so many good shows. Maybe someone else will. heh.

This one sounds just too good to miss!

I like it. They actually said hydrogen is not an energy source.

I think this is quite good. They're raising each of the solutions, and then revealing the problems with each.

This may be the best peak oil documentary on the MSM so far.

I'm with you Leanan. This is the best one yet, because every solution is quickly followed by why it is unlikely to work.

There was some line about the end of oil bringing the collapse of civilization and I was like "right on!"
