$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('mos6507', '1'). If we have a constitutional crisis, then let the supreme court handle it. Until the matter comes up in a court battle, I don't see an issue. You've chosen to interpret the constitution one way, and the system has chosen another. The constitution is a living document otherwise blacks would still be considered
three fifths of a citizen. It wasn't written on stone tablets.
2. You want to change things, vote for people who believe as you do. If they lose, then don't be a whiner.
3. I wasn't happy Bush won two terms, but you know what, that's life! You don't always get what you want.
4. But striking this fundamentalist tone that YOU know how to lead the US and all other attempts are dystopian (**cough** Alex Jones) just doesn't fly. It flies here because this place is predominately liberaterian tinfoilers, but not out in the real world (unless you watch Glenn Beck).
5. And you can call people sheeple all you want, but as long as they are VOTING sheeple, you have to speak to them as though they matter more than being an object of ridicule whenever they disagree with you (hence the epithet "statist", the Rush Limbaugh-style attempt to convert ideological labels like "librulz" into epithets).
As usual, I agree with several things you say and you're also putting words in my mouth.
1. I agree with this.
2. Whiner? This is called discussion. If I actively participate in politics, I don't think that's called "whining". Come on, Mos.
3. I was completely against Bush's presidency. I voted for Nader in 2000 and actually voted for Kerry in 2004 (whom I don't like at all) because I wanted Bush to lose so badly. I think Bush was in the Top 5 Worst Presidents we've ever had.
4. I've never said that I know what's right. I am saying that the people should have the freedom to decide for themselves what is right. We are sliding into a technocratic police/surveillance control grid controlled by oligarchs, which you as a Statist seem to support. The people can't decide for themselves what they want then when they live under our Orwellian government and corporate media thought-control.
5. You're inventing a straw man about me again. I've never called anyone sheeple, so it's invalid for you to construct an argument against it. I think the term "sheeple" is condescending. Statist isn't an epithet any more than the word "Libertarian". I think you're just being overly sensitive and too politically correct.
