Any predictions on the Institution of the "Amero"?

Unread postby SeaGypsy » Fri 02 Oct 2009, 10:35:56

When I 1st came across the Amero spiel I thought this is just a crackpot sideshow; it won't ever happen. But that was a couple of years ago and as time wears on and US debt becomes more insurmountable; the Amero starts looking like a better idea than outright bankruptcy.
I think of it as the USA's best chance at a clean slate. By Jesus it would upset a whole lot of people; but what choice does the country have in the long run?

Hey SeaGypsy,
How much Aussie tucker can one efarmer get for
a couple of these here Canamerimex doubloons?

Old efarmer would settle for a pie floater with mug
of brew and light your cabin lantern with a worthless
dollar as a gesture of goodwill.

If I really thought they were going to switch to the Amero, I'd buy a machine and stamp out a million of them before they became legal tender...

Over 2 years, time for a bump?
My updated guess is implementation of the Amero, or something resembling, in or by 2020.
How many toilet paper dollars an Amero will be worth is anyones guess.
If my guess is correct, some large scale printing/ minting will need to be kicking off, roundabout; now. It takes a while to print and coin a trillion.
