"Plunging squarely into one of the most sensitive issues in the Middle East, Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. suggested on Sunday that the United States would not stand in the way of Israeli military action aimed at the Iranian nuclear program.
The United States, Mr. Biden said in an interview broadcast on ABC’s “This Week,” “cannot dictate to another sovereign nation what they can and cannot do.”
“Israel can determine for itself — it’s a sovereign nation — what’s in their interest and what they decide to do relative to Iran and anyone else,” he said, in an interview taped in Baghdad at the end of a visit there."

So if Iran , as a sovereign nation, will decide to throw a big&nice bomb on Tel-Aviv that's cool with US too, I guess. Or it works only the other way around?

Personally i dont have a problem with it.

All this hatred for Bush and his policies seems to cloud all reason when it comes to Iran. Its a country where you dont just get away with saying that Israel should be wiped off the map, people will actually cheer at you for doing it. This country can not be allowed to have nuclear weapons.

If israel decides to remove this problem then we should support them. That doesnt mean that we should accept everything they do, but in this case they have the moral high ground.

Israel most probably won't "throw a big&nice bomb" on Teheran, but target nuclear development plants. I definitely don't subscribe to all of Israel's policies, but realistically, they have no reason to attack Iran unless they genuinely believe (rightly or wrongly) that Iran poses a threat. (Unless the US coerces or bribes Israel to do it.)

First of al they didnt say they won't, second, if Iran will bomb the hell out of Israel's nuclear facilities, it should be ok with US? I mean it gotta be. Iran is a sovereign nation so far. And Israel doesnt have nuclear facilities , according to them, so the whole thing might count as some exercising in the desert more or less.

The large majority Muslims over here in Europe came here, or are the descendants of the people who came here, to do the dirty, boring and underpaid jobs the white man didn't want to do.
Jews have got nothing to do with it.
Let alone Israel.

What retarded here is you blindly hating Muslims without looking deeper for the cause. I hope you won't deny that you hate muslims, won't you? You've been dancing 7-40 upon every roasted palestinian/muslim baby you could possibly find on this board, since the first day you joined. Besides, I didnt make a statement but a suggestion, so you could exercise that petty collection of neurons of yours.

I would be more inclined to agree with you if an Israeli head of state had openly wished for Iran to be wiped off the map. Of course you can speculate that Israelis want it to happen just because they're Muslims.

THE Israel Thread pt 4 (merged)

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he government is considering establishing work camps in the south of the country, where illegal migrant workers will receive shelter, food and medical care, Army Radio reported Wednesday. In exchange, illegal migrants would perform manual labor outside the camps, but would not earn a salary.
They would stay at the camp until their asylum claims are decided, which could take months or years.

These are poor migrants that have no money for food, medical or housing, I see no problem here they get it all for free and just have to work it off, would it make you feel better that they just sleep under the bridges and beg for food instead..

Odd. Everyone knows Dachau was only a jail and related work camp. Do you mean no more jails? Or no more putting inmates to work?

Anyhow, I have no problem with detainees working for their lodging and food. It seems like a sensible approach and I applaud Israel for this measure. All nations should follow this lead if they're not already doing so.

Eastbay, not only i have not problem with detainees working for their lodging and food, but i think that is the way it should be done. What I have a problem with, is with work camps, run by governments; remember that under the Nazi regime, Jews were told that they would go to relocate to farms in new conquered lands too, not that they would be the prime component for german soap. And when it comes to human rights Israel has a less than stellar record to put it mildly.
