$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('JPL', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Nefarious', 'Y')es Is there something you know? Bugging out for me is a critical moment. When I finally bug out to my fall back place for good. I'm leaving every thing behind job, creature comforts. So I'm not going to be going prematurely but not going to be the last minute either. I just watch and pay attention but haven't seen anything that would want me to jump ship just yet.
Yea, I think it's different for people in the US & the UK. In either case I think you need about 3 months notice, but it's different. What I'm looking forward to (not) is that wonderful moment when 70 million people suddenly realise they are living on an island. Prior to the Industrial Revolution the pop of the UK was reasonably stable at about 10 million and they 'knew what they were doing' which for me is a critical factor. Now they don't - so we're doomed. For me, the only thing that's negotiable is the time-scale.
Anyhow, I digress. Just wanted to say I'll be out of contact for a bit, really. With regards to 'timescale of doom', I'm sure you can all figure it out. We all either have 'not enough time' or 'the rest of our lives', depending on which way you figure it.
Either way the result is the same (grin).
Bye!

Well good luck. My family comes originally from Brighton, I know a bit about that area, so It's safe to assume you're not bugging out there.
With almost 70 million souls, honestly the only two locations that would get my attention as a place to bug out to, would be: The Orkney's or The Shetlands.
Then again there are parts of western Scotland that are possible. The Hebrides?
Without spilling the beans, I'd be curious about the general area you're heading to...
I'm from Canada, we've got lots of room here, so any Englishman and family are always welcome here.
Good luck, and cheers mate.
