Well if you're gonna get arrested, I suppose it may as well be for violating Article I, Section 8, Clause 5 of the US Constitution!
I had a look at that website, and the guy telling his story sounds almost happy about it. Bizarre.. if the dude doesn't settle with the government, he will end up doing time.
And I'm sure it never helped matters that their Liberty Dollar *does* appear to confuse people into thinking it's US currency. Still, it isn't counterfeit per se, it is silver. I wonder how a jury will come down on this? Probably on the side of the government, since that's what federal juries tend to do.
EDIT: they sound like an interesting bunch. According to Wikipedia the founder, Bernard Von NotHaus, "retired from Liberty Dollar in October 2008, to found the
Free Marijuana Church in Hawaii."
