$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'I')n my opinion, the swine flu "crisis" is simply another tool used by the influencers to loosen bolts unscrewing in our society.

Fixed it for ya.

From the CDC, Flu Maps May, 2008 and 2009. I've heard that currently (not listed on this map) we're seeing the ratio of seasonal flu vs h1n1 go switch places where h1n1 is now surpassing seasonal by 3 to 1. No, I don't have a source, so can be deleted or take as you wish, whatever it may mean. Interesting fact about h1n1 is that it does well above 41C and is affected by absolute humidity. So, I wonder if humidity is going to have more of an impact this summer than heat?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he number of swine flu cases in Japan soared over the weekend, raising the likelihood that the World Health Organization will soon have to raise its pandemic alert level to 6, the highest level.

On Sunday, the assistant principal of a school in Queens died after being hospitalized with swine flu. It was the sixth flu-related death in the United States and the first in New York State.

In Japan, authorities ordered more than 1,000 schools and kindergartens in and near the cities of Kobe and Osaka to shut down. There were no confirmed cases in Tokyo.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'B')ut on Saturday, the authorities confirmed that a 17-year-old student in Kobe who had not been overseas was infected; as of Monday afternoon, there were at least 121 recorded cases throughout Japan.

Kobe residents rushed to hospitals, where doctors in biohazard suits checked people for fever in tents set up in parking lots, Agence France-Presse reported. Transit workers and supermarket employees began wearing masks.

Japan is well known in public health circles for being exceptionally nervous about flu; it has an aging population and a national obsession with cleanliness that makes even Switzerland look messy.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he alerts, by definition, measure a new virus’s spread, not its lethality. The lethality can vary from country to country, depending on viral mutations, how prepared each country is, what other diseases its population has, and other factors.

Turkey, India and Chile also reported their first swine flu cases over the weekend.

Flu season in the southern hemisphere is during summer in the northern?

Anything going on yet in Australia, Africa or South America with the swine flu?

The latest.. 16 schools closed in NYC now.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'N')EW YORK (CBS) ―
Four more New York City public schools and one private school have been ordered closed as new cases of students or faculty falling ill with flu-like symptoms continue to grow.

That brings the number of schools closed to 16, with Health Commissioner Thomas Frieden saying he "fully expects" to see even more significant cases in the near future.
http://wcbstv.com/cbs2crew/queens.schoo ... 12152.html

Also, the assistant principle who was hospitalized this past week has died. They had him in a medically-induced coma, so thankfully he didn't suffer at the end.

TPTB are saying he had a pre-existing medical condition that contributed to his death, but the family disputes that.

Maybe he had a pre-existing condition that he never told his family about (it happens on House all the time)

The PFI (pandemic flu information) forum had a student nurse explain how gout can affect immune response, it sounded plausible.

They also had a poster explain that misinformation is a CDC strategy.

On another front, a man selling coloidal silver explained that in 1999 a computer simulation of the flu created more deaths from panic than the actual flu, he was selling something, though -- so, take it for what it's worth. Also, I'm not strong enough of a googler to find the study to back up that one was even done.

New numbers from CDC.. estimated 100,000 infected in US

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'C')DC officials say around 100,000 people are likely infected with the new flu strain in the United States and Schuchat said the 5,123 confirmed and probable cases and six deaths in the United States were "the tip of the iceberg."

Sigh -- I wonder how long they think they can get away with pulling numbers out of their butt.

Oh, yeah, as long as they can.

Listen up, Nader-esque governement fascists: your approach is going to blow up in your face if the CFR is higher than seasonal flu. Oh, wait, I bet you have a mind-f planned for that, too. Nevermind. :P

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Kristen', 'T')hey're distracting us again from understanding the truth.

They sure are, they have been for generations now.

It is a startling revelation when you see the magnitude of the manipulation we have all been subjected to here in a place known as western civilization.

The major media, governments and all major multinational corporations are owned and operated top down by a few hundred family dynasties and they have colloborated to keep this very simple fact from you.

By forming the pyramidal top down control structure they have somehow managed to keep every level except the foundation happy and ignorant. This has always been the way of civilizations, the only difference now is that most people don't even recognize the pyramid even though it's in their face everyday.

So yeah, most people in western civilization live in permanent confusion with regards to world events. The remaining primative tribes on the recieving end of "democracy" see it for what it is, an empire on a mission.

Your brain is the most amazing supercomputer ever invented but depends totally on the inputs. Garbage in, garbage out.

The reality outside the box is a bit much for some people, especially the baby boomers who had all their inputs controlled since birth. Good luck with your rearranging of the inputs and recognizing garbage when you see it. It's everywhere but the most frightening thing is to see people plugged into it, loving it, thinking it's reality!

Oh yeah, swine flu. Probably engineered in a military lab along with the vaccine but when you research factory farming maybe not. The point is is doesn't matter, everything is engineered to be a problem that creates a desired reaction with the only result being the expansion of government.

It's called "problem, reaction, solution", you can google that. Good luck!

possible explanation for US-mexico morbidity differential.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'S')wine Flu: Influenza A (H1N1) Susceptibility Linked To Common Levels Of Arsenic Exposure
ScienceDaily (May 21, 2009) — The ability to mount an immune response to influenza A (H1N1) infection is significantly compromised by a low level of arsenic exposure that commonly occurs through drinking contaminated well water, scientists at the Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) and Dartmouth Medical School have found.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '&')quot; When a normal person or mouse is infected with the flu, they immediately develop an immune response," says Hamilton, in which immune cells rush to the lungs and produce chemicals that help fight the infection. However, in mice that had ingested 100 ppb (parts per billion) arsenic in their drinking water for five weeks, the immune response to H1N1 infection was initially feeble, and when a response finally did kick in days later, it was "too robust and too late," Hamilton says. "There was a massive infiltration of immune cells to the lungs and a massive inflammatory response, which led to bleeding and damage in the lung." Morbidity over the course of the infection was significantly higher for the arsenic-exposed animals than the normal animals.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '&')quot; One thing that did strike us, when we heard about the recent H1N1 outbreak, is Mexico has large areas of very high arsenic in their well water, including the areas where the flu first cropped up. We don't know that the Mexicans who got the flu were drinking high levels of arsenic, but it's an intriguing notion that this may have contributed," Hamilton says.

Luckily for me I'm semi-blind (Not wearing glasses doesn't make your eyes worse!) and don't own a TV so I only get a little sublimal messaging from movies and internet advertising and the avoidable billboards and logos. Critical thinking may also be in part to blame. My life goal is to spread it and challenge people's current thought patterns, but in a friendly, non-arrogant way.

nobody panic -- that was an interesting article -- kind of left field thing to study?

wikileaks.org -- this site has H1N1 supposed leaks.

If information contained there says:

50% affected ages 0-18 years
37% affected ages 18-49

A local health depts H5N1 pandemic plan call for 30% rate before closing -- released 2006.

Also according to this site, and personal first-hand accounts that I've read, we're at the highest level of school surveillance:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', ' ')May 25 (Bloomberg) -- Swine flu is spreading more widely than official figures indicate, with outbreaks in Europe and Asia showing it’s gained a foothold in at least three regions.

One in 20 cases is being officially reported in the U.S., meaning more than 100,000 people have probably been infected nationwide with the new H1N1 flu strain, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In the U.K., the virus may be 300 times more widespread than health authorities have said, the Independent on Sunday reported yesterday.

I have this uneasy feeling regarding this swine flu pandemic. About 2-3 weeks the media reported all was good , all cases were captured and managed and the flu was quarantined. Then all of a sudden hundreds of cases popped up around the world. Quite a few in Oz too – note that most of the cases in Oz are in Melbourne where it was confirmed that the people diagnosed had no contact with OS travellers and they could not work out how they caught the virus..
