Why don't you revolt NOW?

I'm not going to revolt. I'm going to wave as the freight train that is our system passes by and careens off the cliff.
An ideology is by definition not a search for TRUTH-but a search for PROOF that its point of view is right

Easy, Ludi. I know you're a little worked on the other thread :)

I am revolting. I'm revolting against the system. Not by grabbing guns and forming an army, but by rejecting consumerism as a way of life. Becoming much more self-sufficient. Buying local, and buying used. Bartering for items. You can read more about it on the other thread, the Santelli thread. :-D
After fueling up their cars, Twyman says they bowed their heads and asked God for cheaper gas. There was no immediate answer, but he says other motorists joined in and the service station owner didn't run them off.

Thats exactly what I'm doing... Its all we really can do. I figure the best way to stop supporting the system is through having so little income there is nothing for them to tax, thus starving the beast... And hopefully coming out of it with a simpler and more pleasant lifestyle at the same time....

You know the U.S. economy is pretty scary when an AP report contains the words “crippled,” “worse,” “deteriorate” and “bleak.” (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090219/ap_ ... economy_21) The Federal Reserve predicts that “unemployment could climb as high as 8.8% this year and that the economy would contract for a full calendar year for the first time since 1991.”

I'm expecting the Standard of Living to take a big hit, on the horizon, however, the Fed sees a golden dawn, with joblessness falling to 6.7% in 2011 and GDP growing by up to 5%.

The Fed is on crack. If the Fed was so smart, they would have forseen this crisis instead of enacting policies that helped cause it.

If the Fed announced that the sky was blue, I would go outside to check to see if it was changing to red.

The retiring babyboomers, imminent decline in oil production with no imminent and workable substitutes, suggests the economic "speed limit" will be much lower, and will not be enough to dig us out of this hole of debt the US has dug itself into.
